Survivor : Heroes vs Villains Season 20 [END]

Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains is the twentieth season of the American CBS competitive reality television series Survivor. It premiered on February 11, 2010 with a 2-hour special premiere.

Sandra Diaz-Twine became the first two-time Survivor winner. She defeated Parvati Shallow and Russell Hantz with a vote of 6–3–0. Hantz, for the second consecutive season, was voted by fans to win "Sprint Player of the Season" award and the US$100,000 prize that went with it, earning the fans' vote over Rupert Boneham.

A DVD release of the season through Amazon.com was announced during the season finale of Survivor: Nicaragua on December 19, 2010. The DVD is set to be released on February 22, 2011.

Survivor is an American version of the Survivor reality television game show, itself derived from the Swedish television series Expedition Robinson originally created in 1997 by Charlie Parsons. The series premiered on May 31, 2000 on CBS. It is hosted by veteran television personality, reporter and one-time game show emcee Jeff Probst, who is also an executive producer, and also executive produced by Mark Burnett and original creator Charlie Parsons.

The show maroons a group of strangers (as one or more tribes) in a desolate locale, where they must provide food, water, fire, and shelter for themselves, while competing in challenges to earn either a reward, or an immunity from expulsion from the game in the next of the successive votes for elimination. While much rarer than elimination by vote, medical conditions, such as injury or infection, have eliminated several contestants. The last two or three survivors face a jury composed of the last seven, eight, or nine players voted off. That jury interrogates the final few, and then votes for the winner of the game, the title of Sole Survivor and a million dollar prize.

Desperate Housewives Season 6 [END]

Narrated by the late Mary Alice Young, Desperate Housewives takes viewers inside Wisteria Lane, a small section of suburban America that's anything but ordinary. This primetime soap delves deep into the lives of a circle of women with a mix dark humor and drama that helps expose the truth that things are never as they seem.

The tale of these women started with the death of one of their own, Mary Alice Young (Brenda Strong). Even though she is a resident of Wisteria no longer, she guides us through the daily lives of her close friends, family and neighbors from her unique and all-seeing point of view.

The women of Wisteria include Susan Mayer (Teri Hatcher), a single mother and divorcee, struggling to raise her teenaged daughter, Julie (Andrea Bowen), all while going to extreme lengths to find the man of her dreams, who may be her neighbor, Mike Delfino (James Denton). Lynette Scavo (Felicity Huffman) is a mother four who is dealing with the change of going from a stay-at-home mom to a career woman as she helps her husband Tom (Doug Savant) open their own pizzeria. Bree Van De Kamp (Marcia Cross), the quintessential Martha Stewart-esque housewife, presents a calm and collected exterior, but is dealing with the pain of losing her husband, Rex (Steven Culp), the challenge of raising two rebellious children, Danielle (Joy Lauren) and Andrew (Shawn Pyfrom), and her second marriage to the mysterious Orson Hodge (Kyle MacLachlan). Gabrielle Solis (Eva Longoria) had it all -- a successful modeling career, an equally successful husband, Carlos (Ricardo Antonio Chavira) and a large house -- but with the end of her marriage, Gabrielle must learn how to make it on her own. Lastly Edie Britt (Nicollette Sheridan), the self made successful real estate agent whose love life is at the top of everyone's gossip list.

Wiseria Lane has experienced it's share of mysterious comings and goings. From the Applewhite family, including Betty (Alfre Woodard) and Matthew (Mehcad Brooks) who wasted no time in getting tangled up in the drama of Wisteria, to the family Mary Alice left behind: Paul (Mark Moses) and Zach (Cody Kasch).

With Mary Alice watching over her former neighbors' every move, no bit of juicy gossip goes unnoticed, despite how the residents try their hardest to keep it locked behind closed doors.

Desperate Housewives is an American television comedy-drama series created by Marc Cherry, who also serves as show runner, and produced by ABC Studios and Cherry Productions. Executive producers, as of the fourth season, are Marc Cherry, Bob Daily, George W. Perkins, John Pardee and Joey Murphy, David Grossman, Larry Shaw and Sabrina Wind.
The setting of the show is the street of Wisteria Lane in the fictional American town of Fairview in the Eagle State. It follows the lives of a group of women, seen through the eyes of their dead neighbor. They work through domestic struggles and family life, while facing the secrets, crimes and mysteries hidden behind the doors of their—at the surface—beautiful and seemingly perfect suburban neighborhood.
The show features an ensemble cast, headed by Teri Hatcher as Susan Mayer, Felicity Huffman as Lynette Scavo, Marcia Cross as Bree Van de Kamp and Eva Longoria as Gabrielle Solis. Brenda Strong narrates the show as the deceased Mary Alice Young, appearing sporadically in flashbacks or dreams.
Since its premiere on ABC on October 3, 2004, the show has been well received by viewers and critics alike. The show is a multiple Emmy, Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild award winner, and in April 2007 it was reported to be the most popular show in its demographic worldwide, with an audience of approximately 120 million.

America's Next Top Model S14E10/11

Episode 10/11 - Ugly-Pretty Woman/America's Next Top Model Is... (12/05/2010)

UGLY-PRETTY WOMAN

André gave the girls a surprise visit to advise them about the fashion industry, as well as shed some light on his early career beginnings, including working for Andy Warhol.

The girls packed up and flew for Queenstown, New Zealand for their next photo shoot, but were surprised when they hear Miss J’s voice over the PA instructing them to walk down the plane aisles as part of a runway challenge. Alexandra impressed the Jays by bringing heels on board the plane, but Krista ultimately won her fourth challenge. She was rewarded with $2000 worth of Boh Runga jewelry and the chance to walk at New Zealand Fashion Week.

This week’s shoot required the girls to portray “ugly-pretty”. All the girls found a certain degree of success, and their photos similarly received both praise and criticism from different judges. Krista’s outstanding photo earned her yet another first call-out. Alexandra's photo got all-loved by the judges, but she is still looked "pretty-pretty" when they asked her to be "ugly-pretty". Raina was castigated for only doing well in higher-end shoots, Angelea's photo was considered average and generally bad by all the judges. Tyra mentioned models from past cycles that have gone on to have successful careers such as Katarzyna while talking about Angelea and where she would go when she went home. In the end, Tyra handed Raina the last photo, eliminating Alexandra and, of course, Angelea.

First call-out: Krista White
Bottom Three: Alexandra Underwood, Angelea Preston & Raina Hein
Eliminated: Alexandra Underwood & Angelea Preston

AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL IS....

The final two girls took a helicopter ride to an overnight stay at Hurakia Lodge on Rakino Island. Miss J. arrived and handed them their CoverGirl commercial scripts. The next day, the girls shot both their commercial and CoverGirl print ad. Krista blanked out during her commercial and was forced to use cue cards, but was praised for laughing off her mistakes instead of breaking down. Raina got her lines out without much fuss, but failed to deliver believability.

The next day, both girls impressed Nigel during their Seventeen magazine cover shoot. When they returned to the house, Tyra surprised them with visits from their families; they proceeded to take a “Top Model” family portrait. After this, the final two proceeded to the Auckland Museum for a rock and roll circus inspired Anna Sui fashion show. It was also revealed that the past 4 eliminated finalists – Alexandra, Angelea, Jessica and Alasia – would also be walking with them. After the show, Tyra had some one-on-one time with Krista and Raina, where both shared their motivations for winning.

At the final judging, Krista’s walk was commended for being both commercial and high fashion at the same time, albeit slightly cheesy, whilst Raina’s smile and freshness were appreciated. Their CoverGirl print ads also received mixed reviews – Raina’s girl next door photo got the thumbs up, but the judges said she lacked a certain spark, while Krista’s stunning photo drew flak for failing to smile with her eyes. Both of their CoverGirl commercials failed to fully impress.

While discussing the final two’s overall portfolios throughout the season, the judges deemed Krista as a more sophisticated and edgy model who would do well on the runway, while Raina was the beauty model who would make waves internationally as a photo model.

In the end, Krista was crowned the winner of the fourteenth cycle of America’s Next Top Model.

Final Two: Krista White & Raina Hein
America's Next Top Model: Krista White

WINNER : KRISTA WHITE

The show was created and is hosted by talk-show host and model Tyra Banks, who also serves as the head judge and executive producer of the show. The first "cycle" premiered in May 2003 and was one of UPN's highest rated shows. The show's seventh cycle was the first of the shows among regular programming on UPN's successor network, The CW, and thus far is the network's highest rated series. The opening theme is performed by Tyra Banks and is produced by Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins. Banks co-produces the show with Ken Mok and Anthony Dominici, and is an independent production of 10 by 10 Entertainment and Bankable Productions (part of the dummy company/joint venture Pottle Productions), distributed for The CW by Bankable Productions and syndicated internationally by KingWorld (and its successor CBS Television Distribution). Ghost Hunters S06E10

Episode 10 - Norwich State (05/05/2010)

Finally!!!

Never before has a paranormal team been invited to investigate Norwich State Hospital. That is- until tonight!

Jason and Grant have wanted to visit this abandoned mental hospital for years- rumors of moving shadows, haunting faces, screams and moans and apparitions of children have attracted many an amateur ghost hunter. Yet the state would never allow anyone in officially to verify the claims before this episode of TAPS.

Jay and Grant start out in the research building and it takes all of two minutes before they see some kind of moving shadow followed by a strange noise and faint light in the stairway. Then the moaning started- like a man in a horror film- and it turns into a whimpering noise like a puppy. Bizarre!

Britt and KJ try to solve the problems of the Earle Building, where the maintenance team reported tools falling and weird noises. They hear this noise like someone is dragging something heavy across the floor #&8212; what WAS that?? They try to track it upstairs but don't find anything. Cut to Kris and Amy in the research building visiting the autopsy room. Frankly, it's pretty creepy.

In the tunnels Jason and Grant swear they hear voices. And SOMEthing is moving around in the distance, but the tunnel comes to an end! There's a lot of dust and danger and asbestos and there's a fine line between the thirst for the paranormal and personal safety. The TAPS heads opted for the safety.

Why would a spirit hang out in the admin building?? That's what Kris and Amy want to know as they wander through the building and pretend they're lost mental patients. The problem with this place is that it's so old every noise sounds spooky, but there's no evidence of paranormal.

Britt and KJ get startled by a figure moving left to right in the research center! They slowly move towards it as it keeps moving and the light changing- the tension is building!!! Yet there's nothing there and there is no way out.

In the Salmon Building (a residence hall) Jay & G taunt the crazies, and hear weird howling and moaning sounds. Meanwhile the lady investigators take on the tunnels, and Amy is scared to death at the horror movie in the making. They get totally lost and stumble upon a hospital- the building feels different in a hair-up-on-the-neck way. Is someone following them? It feels like it!! Then there's voices and wild noises, the whole freak-out package! Even after they start the EVP session the noises just keep on coming.

So overall the team could verify the claims about the Norwich facility, plus a few more. In the reveal they show all the evidence collected, plus video of a door opening near Kris and Amy as if something was entering the room with them. Bottom line: TAPS is leaving Norwich with confirmation of their belief that the place is haunted.

America's Next Top Model S14E09

Episode 09 - Hobbits vs. Models (05/05/2010)

Tension rose in the house when Angelea felt that her closest ally, Krista, was becoming closer to Alexandra than her. Jessica accidentally burnt a taco, setting the toaster on fire.

The girls arrived at the “Hobbiton” movie set for the Lord of the Rings trilogy and met actress Sarah McLeod, who introduced them to their photo shoot challenge – they only had five frames to pose at the doorway of the Hobbit House. Angelea and Krista excelled, but it is the latter who won $3,000 worth of designer clothes.

Tyra was the photographer for this week’s photo shoot, which required the girls to pose with shadows. Alexandra impressed by pushing through despite having a runny nose. Krista’s knowledge of her angles earned her a third consecutive first call-out, tying the record set by Joanie Dodds in Cycle 6.

Tyra didn't feel enough enthusiasm coming from Raina, and she landed in the bottom two for the first time. But it was Jessica’s lack of high fashion ability which caused her to be eliminated.

First call-out: Krista White
Bottom two: Jessica Serfaty & Raina Hein
Eliminated: Jessica Serfaty

Ghost Hunters S06E09

Episode 09 - Spirits Of The Night (28/04/2010)

Warning! At the end of this episode the team will present one of the most alarming piece of evidence- ever!

First, the investigation. The team visits the home of the terrified Scully family who is ready to move. Mrs. Scully shows the team the hot spots starting in the living room that has confrontational shadows, adult legs walking up the stairs and spirits breathing down people's necks.

The greatest activity is in 4-year-old Tyler's room. He spends his time with the ghosts of 2 small children, and speaks so freely with and about them that Mrs. Scully has taken him to mental health professionals for evaluations. A medium has visited and advised the Scully family not to provoke the spirits- though for $300 the medium could make the problem go away.

This is the kind of case TAPS lives for because they can help a family find peace of mind. And they do it for free.

The night starts in the living room with Jay, Grant and some EVP. They hear a shuffling noise upstairs and track it to the daughter, Samantha's, room where they move a stroller to create the sound. They reposition the stroller within the camera frame in case it moves again. Next Britt and guest investigator K.J. check out Samantha's room where they hear a rustling noise in the corner and the sounds of someone in the closet. Amy and Kris take a turn in the master bedroom to investigate the slamming bathroom door and think they hear a voice. They move on to Tyler's spooky room and bombard the spirits with questions. Hopefully the recorders pick something up.

In the living room K.J. and Britt pick up massive EMF spikes, but it keeps fluctuating. There are no electrical situations that would cause that. Yet suddenly Britt is overcome with nausea. Was it the EMF spikes? Paranormal? Bad lunch?

Jason and Grant revisit the living room and continue to hear that dragging sound from upstairs. They hear all kinds of crazy humming, thumping and footstep noises from upstairs. Then it starts talking. They run upstairs- it goes quiet. So they separate- one up, one down. The crazy noises continue- they're coming from Tyler's room! Someone was in there!

In addition to the personal experiences, the tapes have evidence too. (As promised.) First, when Grant and Jason are in the hall, the audio picked up the clear sound of footsteps. They can also clearly hear whispers on the tape as the guys check out the attic. In the footage of Kris and Amy in the bathroom the audio picked up a sound- perhaps that of a child laughing?

Finally there is the moving stroller. Remember Grant and Jay moved the stroller into view of the camera? Well, the video caught the stroller moving all by itself!!! Still, there is no evidence that the spirits have evil intent. But if the family is uncomfortable living with ghosts then they can sit down with the entities and explain to them that it is time to leave.

America's Next Top Model S14E08

Episode 08 - Welcome to New Zealand (28/04/2010)

After an exhausting 22-hour flight, the girls arrived in Auckland, then were taken to Mount Eden and greeted by a traditional Māori Haka, after which they were immediately sent for their go-sees challenge, with almost no time to prepare. Alasia, Angelea and Krista received positive reviews from the designers, while Alexandra, Jessica and Raina received mixed feedback. Only Alexandra, Angelea and Jessica made it back on time, with Angelea being deemed the best, having booked all six of her go-sees. She and Krista won an assortment of designer pieces.

At their next photo shoot, the girls were challenged to wear the same black Lloyd Klein dress, and make the best out of that dress (with sheep as their background). Jessica, Angelea and Alasia struggled whilst Alexandra, Krista and Raina produced highly-praised photos.

At panel, when Angelea's photo was going to be discussed, she showed Tyra and the judges a "little club thingy", which had Krista and Alexandra in hysterics. Jessica was criticized for her lack of versatility but was saved over Alasia, whom the judges felt lacked focus in photo shoots.

First call-out: Krista White
Bottom two: Alasia Ballard & Jessica Serfaty
Eliminated: Alasia Ballard

For the 2006–2007, 2007–2008 and 2008–2009 television seasons, ANTM was the #1 show in average viewers on The CW.
