Clark is surprised to see Martha on the news speaking at a pro-vigilante rally. However, surprise quickly turns to horror when he and Lois watch as Martha is injured in an attack on national television. Meanwhile, Lionel reveals himself to the world and reclaims LuthorCorp from Tess and Oliver. Lois and Chloe decide to cheer Clark up by showing him videos from thousands of vigilante supporters professing their support for The Blur. Videos were created and submitted by actual "Smallville" fans. Mike Rohl directed the episode written by Don Whitehead & Holly Henderson.

Season ten of Smallville, an American television series, premiered on September 24, 2010 and will consist of 22 episodes. It will be the fifth and final season to air on the CW television network. The series recounts the early adventures of Kryptonian Clark Kent as he adjusts to life in the fictional town of Smallville, Kansas, during the years before he becomes Superman. Regular cast members during season ten currently include Tom Welling, Erica Durance, Justin Hartley, Cassidy Freeman, and Allison Mack.
The final season of the series, season ten plans to continue the romance first developed between Clark Kent and Lois Lane in season nine, as well as the continuation of Clark's trials, and the forging of his superhero identity "Superman". During its tenth season, Smallville will beat the Guinness World Record for longest consecutive running United States science fiction television show—currently held by Stargate SG-1
