BBC Three throws open the doors on the ultimate rite of passage for the average teenager - the first ever summer holiday abroad without their parents. But what these teenagers couldn't possibly have guessed is that whilst they enjoy their first taste of freedom, with all its temptations and excesses, they are being secretly watched... by their parents. It's sun, sea, boozing and brawling in Malia, as 18-year-old Joe Major leaves his doting family behind for one last blowout with the lads before they go their separate ways, while 18-year-old art student Millie Butler escapes from her mum for her first ever girls' holiday. Mayhem ensues as Joe begins his holiday by throwing up in the toilet before hitting the strip clad in tutu and nail varnish, and in the same resort Millie lets loose with her girlfriends. Both are blissfully unaware that their shocked parents are there to witness it all. As Joe tries to hold his holiday and his mates together amidst a bust-up and a trip to the hospital, his parents must come to terms with some of his more outrageous party antics. Meanwhile, Millie's ever-watchful mum realises that her daughter has grown up and it's time she finally let her go.

In Ibiza, head boy Rob Watson escapes his adoring parents for a summer blowout before starting university and trainee builder Hollie Hutton swaps her overalls for her pulling gear. As the holiday unfolds, Hollie's mum is shocked to see a new side to her daughter. The tomboy she thought she knew seems to have developed a more feminine side and her new-found confidence is a big hit with the boys.
Meanwhile, Rob decides to spend his last day fulfilling a fantasy of watching a live strip show. Unfortunately for Rob, his parents decide to reveal themselves just as things get a little more personal.

On the other side of the island, Greg's rugby coach father and David's ex-sergeant dad and nurse mum meet for the first time before their mission begins

18-year-old party girls and lifelong friends Becky and Chelsea from Nottingham are about to head off on their first parent-free holiday to celebrate the end of their A-levels. With their mates in tow they're off to Kavos in Corfu for what they hope will be a holiday to remember. What the girls don't know is that their parents are coming too and will be secretly watching their every move. Becky's father Chris could be a contender for the UK's strictest dad and has given her a long list of holiday rules, including no swearing and no boys. He could be in for a surprise.

It's sun, sea and outrageous behaviour in the party town of Magaluf as two very different groups of friends go on their first holiday without their parents. In Corby, Northamptonshire, Royal Marine trained fitness fanatic Rhys is being given strict rules for his holiday from doting mum Vicky. Over in West London 18 year-old student and gymnast Kiran is also preparing for her first parent free holiday before she heads off on a gap year travelling. Originally from Singapore, Kiran's parents have traditional views about what they expect from their daughter. As the teenagers hit the town on their first night, Rhys lets it all hang out as he and his friends attempt to charm the ladies, but how will Rhys's girlfriend feel about his behaviour? Bossy Kiran isn't impressed with Magaluf's charms, settling for a cocktail bar and a more sedate evening. As the holidays ensue the parents watch their children with pride and disgust. Responsible Kiran shines as mother hen of the group, but it's tears for Rhys's mum as she watches her son seriously worse for wear and in the gutter. She's not going to hold back when she finally reveals she's been watching him the whole time.
