Survivor: Gabon — Earth's Last Eden is the seventeenth season of the American CBS competitive reality television series Survivor. The premiere aired September 25, 2008, with the first two episodes screened back-to-back.

Applications were due on January 24, 2008. Around March 2008, 800 applicants were selected for an interview by CBS. Out of these 800, about 48 semi-finalists were selected to go to Los Angeles in April 2008. From these semi-finalists, 18 contestants were selected to participate in the show between late June and mid-July 2008. This season, players sent to Exile Island had a choice of receiving a clue to the location of a Hidden Immunity Idol or a comfort item.

On April 13, 2008, at the National Association of Broadcasters's annual show, Sony announced that the 17th season of Survivor would be the first to be shot in high definition, using Sony XDCAMs.

Survivor: Gabon began filming in late June. It marked the second season of the series that was filmed in Africa (Survivor: Africa had been filmed seven years earlier in Kenya). Reports from Gabon indicate the show was filmed around the coastal towns of Nyonie and Ekwata in the Wonga-Wongue Presidential Reserve.

Host Jeff Probst mentioned that preproduction of the series was plagued by shipment delays, a crane toppling over and undesirable wild animals encroaching into the production area.

The winner was 57-year-old Bob Crowley, a high school physics teacher from Maine. He defeated Susie Smith and Jessica "Sugar" Kiper in a 4-3-0 vote at the live finale to take the million dollar prize. In addition, Bob won the "Sprint Survivor of the Season" award, earning the fans' vote over Sugar and Matty Whitmore.

Jessica "Sugar" Kiper and Randy Bailey returned for Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains where they placed 20th and 18th respectively. Corinne Kaplan was asked to return, but declined due to work obligations.

Survivor is an American version of the Survivor reality television game show, itself derived from the Swedish television series Expedition Robinson originally created in 1997 by Charlie Parsons. The series premiered on May 31, 2000 on CBS. It is hosted by veteran television personality, reporter and one-time game show emcee Jeff Probst, who is also an executive producer, and also executive produced by Mark Burnett and original creator Charlie Parsons.

The show maroons a group of strangers (as one or more tribes) in a desolate locale, where they must provide food, water, fire, and shelter for themselves, while competing in challenges to earn either a reward, or an immunity from expulsion from the game in the next of the successive votes for elimination. While much rarer than elimination by vote, medical conditions, such as injury or infection, have eliminated several contestants. The last two or three survivors face a jury composed of the last seven, eight, or nine players voted off. That jury interrogates the final few, and then votes for the winner of the game, the title of Sole Survivor and a million dollar prize.

Dexter is an American television drama series that centers on Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall), a forensic blood spatter analyst for the Miami Metro Police Department who moonlights as a serial killer.
The show debuted on October 1, 2006, on Showtime and the fifth season ended on December 12, 2010. As of December 2, 2010, the show has been renewed for a sixth season. Set in Miami, the show's first season was largely based on the novel Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsay, the first of his series of Dexter novels. Subsequent seasons have evolved independently of Lindsay's works. It was adapted for television by screenwriter James Manos, Jr., who wrote the pilot episode.
Dexter structures his killing around "The Code of Harry", a body of ethics and procedures devised by his adoptive father Harry Morgan (who was a Miami cop) to make sure Dexter never gets caught and to ensure that Dexter kills only other killers. Harry also trained Dexter in how to interact convincingly with other people despite his dissociative mental illness, which Harry believed to be sociopathy, arising from Dexter witnessing the brutal murder of his biological mother, Laura Moser. As an adult, Dexter has largely escaped suspicion (with some exceptions) by being genial and generous and maintaining generally superficial relationships. However, his attachment to his foster (and ultimately adoptive) sister, Debra, his wife, Rita, his stepchildren, Astor and Cody, and later his biological son, Harrison, have all complicated his double life and made him question his need to kill. In fact, in the first season, newly-found memories of his mother's murder set in motion the slow but steady humanization of Dexter, progressing further with each season, as Dexter begins to experience a variety of emotions for the first time in decades.
In February 2008, edited reruns began to air on CBS. The series has enjoyed wide critical acclaim and popularity. Season 4 aired its season finale on December 13, 2009 to a record-breaking audience of 2.6 million viewers, making it the most-watched original series episode ever on Showtime. Michael C. Hall has received several awards and nominations for his portrayal of Dexter, including a Golden Globe. The series was picked up by Showtime for a sixth season, which was billed as not being the final season, leaving possibilities open for a seventh.

Weeds Season 4 [END]

Weeds is an American black comedy-drama television series created by Jenji Kohan and produced by Lionsgate Television, which began airing on the Showtime cable television network in 2005. The show revolves around Nancy Botwin (Mary-Louise Parker), a widowed Southern Californian mother of two boys—Silas (Hunter Parrish) and the younger, Shane (Alexander Gould)—who turns to selling marijuana to support her family after her husband unexpectedly dies. Over the course of the show, Nancy becomes involved in illegal activities on an escalating scale. The title is a double entendre: it plays on the word "weed", a slang for cannabis, but also refers to "widow's weeds", the black garment worn by mourning widows.

On November 5, 2007, Showtime ordered 13 new episodes for a fourth season of Weeds. The fourth season started on Monday, June 16, 2008 and concluded on Monday, September 15, 2008. The season opener "Mother Thinks the Birds are After Her" was the last episode with "Little Boxes" as the theme song. The opening credits of subsequent episodes, after a recap of previous episodes, begin with a video title card unique to each episode. For the second episode of the season, for example, a highway sign reads "Weeds", "Created By", and "Jenji Kohan"—the embedded text used for all title cards since the show's inception. Having lost both her Agrestic grow house and her residential house in fires, Nancy relocates her family to the fictional California town of Ren Mar immediately north of the San Diego/Tijuana border. They move in with Andy and Judah's father in Ren Mar, while Guillermo has Nancy smuggle asthma inhalers over the border by car, but Nancy discovers that it was a dry run to test her abilities. Celia, in jail for being the official lessee of Nancy's burnt-down grow house, and implicated by all involved, bargains for her release in exchange for spying on Nancy. After Guillermo's men catch Celia spying, Nancy convinces them to spare Celia's life. Andy enters a coyote partnership with Doug, who has recently moved to Ren-Mar to evade questions about Agrestic's finances. Isabelle, unenthusiastic about moving with her father to Detroit, pesters her mother Celia until she agrees to let her live with her in Ren Mar. Silas sets up a grow room in the rear of a gourmet cheese shop owned by his new ten-year-old neighbor's mom. She is an attractive woman, who is in her thirties, and despite being aware that Silas is underage, consummates their business and sexual relationships. After revealing that her interest is purely financial and physical, a heartbroken Silas spurns her advances and ends their business relationship. Meanwhile, at his new school, 13-year-old Shane attacks without provocation the most popular boy at school and acquires a fearsome reputation, attracting the admiring attention of Simone and Harmony, two of the more dangerous girls at school, to whom Shane loses his virginity in a threesome.

Guillermo's as-yet-unidentified boss sets up Nancy in a maternity store in a San Ysidro mall, through which she thinks she can launder money. But in the back of the store Nancy finds an underground tunnel opening, and is told it is exclusively an endpoint for transporting marijuana from Tijuana. But Nancy later learns that it is used for smuggling other controlled substances as well as guns and apparently trafficking in women for what looks to be unwilling prostitution. A shocked Nancy informs DEA Captain Roy Till of the tunnel despite an ongoing sexual relationship with Guillermo's crime boss Esteban Reyes (Demián Bichir), who is also Mayor of Tijuana. The resulting DEA raid and shootout at the maternity shop ends with most of the Mexican drug runners arrested.

While working at Nancy's store, Celia's polysubstance abuse disorder is worsened by the easy availability of drugs from the back of the store. Isabelle and Dean stage an intervention leading Celia to embrace rehab and vowing to make amends to her family. Dean rejects her apology and insists that she apologizes directly to her oldest daughter, Quinn, whom Celia sent during the show's first episode to Casa Reforma, a Mexican boarding school. Since graduation, Quinn has been living with a Mexican revolutionary, Rudolfo. Celia agrees to travel south to make amends, but upon her arrival, an unforgiving and violent Quinn has her drugged and captured. Quinn plans to ransom her mother for $200,000, telling Rudolfo she would give none of the money to his "faggy revolution", but would instead move to Belize.

In the season finale, Esteban discovers that it was Nancy who had alerted the DEA to his smuggling tunnel, and he captures her—probably to be followed by killing her as a lesson to others. But he lets her live after she tells him that she is pregnant with his child, and that it's likely to be a boy (he has only daughters.) At home, Shane steals Silas' weed and, with Simone and Harmony, begins selling it to classmates at school. Doug had fallen for an illegal alien he names "Mermex" as she unsuccessfully tried to enter the United States by beach. After much searching, Doug locates her and uses his coyote enterprise to get her into California. Instead of gratefully rewarding Doug's efforts, Mermex is repelled by his unapologetic nature and his genital warts. She instead falls in love and sleeps with his Coyote partner Andy, who has become a folk hero known as "El Andy". Scorned and hurt, Doug turns Mermex into immigration. Realizing that poverty denies those pursuing anything of any money, Doug writes his estranged wife, daring her to take him to court in a pseudo-suicidal note, and then prepares to hang himself. Andy wonders if he is in love with Nancy and questions why he has stayed with the family for so long.

Belle is not keen but her work has recently had a bad review so she accepts, but she quarrels with the man, who leaves, taking his money with him. Buying a wedding present for Ben the next day she picks up Tim, the salesman, who dates her and spends the night with her, assuming from the men's perfumeries in her bathroom that she is a masseuse. As he is not a client she feels out of her depth and rings Ben, who comes round and pretends to be her boyfriend, which gets rid of Tim. Later she finds that an excellent review has been submitted about her (It was by Ben).

Episode 07 - Belle is engaged by a couple who married very young and have been together for twenty years. To celebrate their anniversary they want to have sex with another couple but the brash young man Belle hires to make up the numbers lets her down and does not show. So Ben fills the breach and, despite his obvious feelings for Belle, is quite professional. However,Belle draws the line at their giving a repeat performance.

Episode 08 - After falling out with her agent, Belle meets two women who run a company called Diamond International and after a lengthy interview they invite Belle onto their books. Their call-girls have very few clients but are required to spend a lot of time with them. Belle's first client is the extremely wealthy Mitchell, who takes her to stay in his penthouse, but she has very little to do and leaves both him and the organization. With Ben helping her to find work she will go free-lance.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (also known as CSI: Las Vegas) is an American crime drama television series, which premiered on CBS on October 6, 2000. The show was created by Anthony E. Zuiker and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. It is filmed primarily at Universal Studios in Universal City, California.

Unfazed by the spray, officers then taser him and he bursts into flames and dies. Meanwhile an unbalanced woman wearing a tinfoil outfit at the front desk tries to warn people (including Nick) of an alien invasion. After observing the burning man, she later turns up dead with green-tinted blood. When other people turn up with the same problem, it's up to the team to figure out why. Meanwhile, an old couple dies, apparently in their sleep... but there is evidence the cases are related.

Episode 17 - For Gedda
