Fringe S03E20

Episode 20 - 6:02 AM EST (22/04/2011)

Secretary Bishop on the Other Side activates his Machine, triggering devastation on This Side. Peter realizes he has no choice but to enter the Machine and try and break the circuit. Meanwhile, Bolivia resolves to save both worlds by trying to bring Peter back to convince the Secretary to stop the Machine.

Fringe follows the casework of the Fringe Division, a Joint Federal Task Force supported primarily by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, which includes Agent Olivia Dunham; Dr. Walter Bishop, the archetypal mad scientist; and Peter Bishop, Walter's estranged son and jack-of-all-trades. They are supported by Phillips Broyles, the force's director, and Agent Astrid Farnsworth, who assists Walter in laboratory research. The Fringe Division investigates cases relating to fringe science, ranging from transhumanist experiments gone wrong to the prospect of a destructive technological singularity to a possible collision of two parallel universes. The Fringe Division's work often intersects with advanced biotechnology developed by a company called Massive Dynamic, founded by Walter's former partner, Dr. William Bell and run by their common friend, Nina Sharp. The team is also watched silently by a group of bald, pale men who call themselves "Observers".

Season 1 introduces the Fringe Division as they investigate cases that form "the Pattern", many orchestrated by the bioterrorist organization, ZFT (Zerstörung durch Fortschritte der Technologie, or in English, Destruction through advances in technology). Olivia comes to learn she was a child test subject for Walter years ago for a nootropic drug, Cortexiphan, giving her weak psionic abilities. Walter also struggles with adjusting to normal life in Peter's care after living several years in a mental institution, and hides a secret about Peter's past from him.

In Season 2, the occurrences are found to be in conjunction with activities of a parallel universe, which is plagued by singularities occurring at weakened points of their world. The Fringe team deals with more cases that are leading to a "perfect storm" as the parallel universe appears to be at war with the prime one. Walter is forced to tell Peter that he is from the parallel universe, a replacement for his own Peter that died from a genetic disease, and that it is his prior experiments that caused the singularities in the parallel universe.[3]

Season 3 presents episodes that alternate between the two universes. "Walternate",[4] Walter's doppelgänger in the parallel universe, has set events in motion to assemble a doomsday device that reacts only to Peter's biology, sending his Olivia, "Fauxlivia", into the prime universe in Olivia's place, get close to Peter, and guide them to find the doomsday device's prime universe counterpart. Olivia, trapped in the parallel universe, is subjected to experimentation by Walternate to explore her Cortexiphan-induced abilities. She is able to escape to her own universe using her psionic abilities and expose Fauxlivia to Peter. Fauxlivia is extracted to the parallel universe, having withdrawn a critical component of the doomsday device, but soon finds she is pregnant with Peter's child. In the prime universe, Olivia and Peter resolve their relation due to Fauxlivia's involvement, while evidence of weak points in the fabric of reality start to develop.

The Vampire Diaries S02E19

Episode 19 - Klaus (21/04/2011)

Stefan and Damon are furious when they discover that Elena has defied them both to make a new ally and take control of the plan to out-maneuver Klaus. Disagreement over how to protect Elena leads to growing tension between the Salvatore brothers. Meanwhile, Stefan has his hands full trying to keep a confused and frightened Jenna safe. Flashbacks to 1491 reveal Katherine's introduction to Elijah and Klaus, along with the origin of the moonstone curse. Elena learns shocking new information about Klaus' motives.

Returning for its second season, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES is the story of two vampire brothers obsessed with the same beautiful girl, and battling to control the fate of an entire town. During season one, Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder), returned to their hometown of Mystic Falls, Virginia, for very different reasons - Stefan was determined to get to know Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev), who bears a striking resemblance to Katherine Pierce, the beautiful but ruthless vampire the brothers knew and loved in 1864, while Damon was intent on releasing Katherine from the tomb where he believed she was trapped by a witch's spell all those years ago.

In the season one finale, Elena's uncle Johnathan (guest star David Anders) set a plan in motion that brought the Founder's Day celebration to an end amid chaos, destruction and death, and saw the return of the vengeful Katherine Pierce. Elena's troubled younger brother, Jeremy Gilbert (Steven R. McQueen), was so devastated by the death of Anna (Malese Jow), the vampire who befriended him, that he lost all hope and took an overdose of pills. That same night, Tyler Lockwood (Michael Trevino), Matt Donovan (Zach Roerig) and Caroline Forbes (Candice Accola) were in a serious car accident while trying to escape the chaos in the town square, and Caroline was rushed to the hospital, her life hanging in the balance. The events of that terrible night will also have long-range effects on Bonnie Bennett (Katerina Graham), the powerful witch who was Elena's best friend until the vampire brothers came between them; Alaric Saltzman (Matt Davis) the vampire-hunter who has become an unlikely ally for Stefan and Damon; and Jenna (Sara Canning), who has yet to discover the violence that occurred in her own home.

In season two, the appearance of the villainous Katherine in Mystic Falls will throw a wrench into the love triangle between Stefan, Elena and Damon, and the other residents of Mystic Falls must choose sides as they fall victim to a new breed of danger. New and unexpected friendships will be forged, allies will become enemies, and hearts will be broken. Stefan and Damon will be forced to face a villain more evil and diabolical than they ever believed possible.

Based on the series of books by L. J. Smith, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES is from Bonanza Productions Inc., Outerbanks Entertainment and Alloy Entertainment in association with Warner Bros. Television and CBS Television Studios with executive producers Kevin Williamson, Julie Plec, Leslie Morgenstein and Bob Levy.

American Idol S10E28

Episode 28 - The Top 7 Finalists Perform (20/04/2011)

The lucky seven finalists performed songs from the 21st century on Wednesday night's performance show. It was great to have the eliminated six finalists return to the stage to perform Pink's "So What." After their performance, Steven Tyler said, "You just made America feel bad about their decision." Before each finalist's performance, we got to hear about what their fellow Idol friends think of them, which led to some spot-on impressions!

Singing "Swingin'," Scotty McCreery kicked off the night with the LeAnn Rimes song. The judges love his voice, but they're ready for Scotty to make some choices that aren't as safe. James Durbin brought Muse to American Idol with "Uprising," and it was an amusing performance with drums and high notes. The judges made an early prediction that this would be the best performance of the night. Haley Reinhart took on the very new and very popular song, "Rolling In The Deep," by Adele. Randy Jackson thought this was the perfect song choice for her, and he said both Adele and Haley have "that amazing thing" to their voices. Jacob Lusk had an emotional moment with Luther Vandross' "Dance With My Father." Steven Tyler stated, "You remind me of the reason why I love music."

Casey Abrams rocked out on the guitar to his 21st Century song selection, Maroon 5's "Harder To Breathe." He ended his performance by kissing Jennifer Lopez, who loved that he brought all of his "Casey-isms" to the performance. Stefano Langone channeled Ne-Yo for his performance of "Closer." He busted some moves, and Randy loved that Stefano took his time with the song's verses. Lauren Alaina closed out the night with "Born To Fly" by Sara Evans. Jennifer Lopez told her, "Beautiful things come out in your notes," and she encouraged Lauren to push it further.

Who goes home? Who do you love? Talk about it in the Idol forums as I work on my full recap. Check back here soon to read the whole schebang.

Here's the song list of 21st Century tunes from tonight's show:
Eliminated Finalists - "So What" by Pink

Ghost Hunters S07E09

Episode 9 - A Soldier's Story (20/04/2011)

Get ready for a double whammy of Ghost Hunting! On this episode the team investigates the Sterling Opera House in Derby, CT, and then the team heads to the North Carolina to help out a family being haunted while the Dad is fighting in Afghanistan.

When the good folks of Derby decided to renovate and reopen their local opera house- one of the oldest in the country- they had no idea the spirits they were about to awaken! Workers have seen a woman in white, a woman in a sparkling evening gown, a woman in a teal dress, shadows in the balcony and a gentleman dressed in period garb. Could it be the spirit of Mr. Sterling, who died tragically just before the Opera House's 1897 completion.

The freakiest area is the sub-basement, where people have been touched, a child yelled help me, and something gouged a man's leg and left 3 bloody scratches! Oh, and the building has no working electricity, yet the EMF levels are through the roof throughout the entire building!

The investigation yields mixed results. Jason and Grant hear voices in the auditorium. Steve and Tango hear footsteps in the basement while debunking the "scratch" as a possible encounter with debris- overall their time in this dungeon was inconclusive. The tall windows and eerie feel lead Jason and Grant to deduce that people are getting freaked out by the building itself, not by ghosts.

Tango shows off some magic tricks to get a rise out of the spectral audience, and they hear a mysterious set of thumps. That's tough to figure out. Overall, the investigation was an exercise in debunking. Evidence review does turn up some whispering voices that get the gang all fired up. "Andy" the child-spirit gets his voice recorded, and there's some moaning and a long groaning sound caught in the background. So there IS some paranormal stuff going on in the Opera House.

On to North Carolina, where the Leah Rivers is home alone with her two sons and pregnant with her third. Her husband is in Afghanistan, and she's so terrified she wants to move out of her house. Naturally, TAPS rushes to put this family at ease. Because it's a small house and a sensitive situation, only Jason, Grant, Steve and Tango are going to investigate. Amy and Adam will do research and analysis.

Here are the claims: footsteps in the attic, shadows in the hallway, a child saw a black shadow that told him to leave the room and a growling in the kitchen. Leah was sleeping and dreaming of a girl wrapped in a blue tarp- she woke up suddenly to feel an ice-cold pressure on her leg and felt like someone was watching her. Then a clock came flying off the wall and there were paper towels strewn about the living room. The poor woman is petrified! This is the kind of case Jason and Grant love to do- help a family feel comfortable in their home.

Jason and Grant experience the banging and thumping that has Leah so frightened and they can't debunk the clock falling. Similarly, Steve and Tango can't debunk the shadow that the child sees and there are no high EMF readings. Then SOMETHING was moving the toys around in the nursery! What WAS that?? No wonder these kids were scared!

Research and analysis yield interesting results, a good investigation all around!

The series is set in the city of Lexington, Kentucky and the hill country of Eastern Kentucky, specifically in and around Harlan. Survivor : Redemption Island S22E10

Episode 10 - Rice Wars (20/04/2011)

Redemption Island Duel: The three castaways would use 150 wooden tiles to build a house of cards. The first two castaways to build a tower to a height of 8 feet (2.4 m) would remain in the game.

Immunity Challenge: The castaways would compete to finish a multi-stage puzzle. The castaways would start by running around a post in order to spin off a disk that would be used as a puzzle base. They would then solve a puzzle that would fit within the base. The first six castaways that finish their puzzle would move on to the next round. In the final round, the completed base would be at the center of a second puzzle. The first castaway to finish their second puzzle would win.

On day 25, Phillip had a premonition while mediating that made him decide that he had come to a "full circle of trust" with Rob. When the Zapatera alliance enjoyed a relatively substantial meal of rice from their provisions, Phillip thought they were trying to eat all of their rice before they get voted out. He decided that the camp's rice was for all and he took several scoops from Zapatera's can of rice. The entire tribe witnessed the new three-way Redemption Island Duel where Mike and Matt built their towers ahead of David, who became the first member of the jury. On day 26, when Andrea opened Ometepe's can of rice, she discovered that there were maggots in the rice. After the Ometepe alliance sorted out their rice on a blanket, Andrea asked if they could put their rice in the Zapatera alliance's can, but Steve refused. Phillip and Steve had a fierce argument over the matter. Phillip thought Steve was being racist after Steve had called him "crazy", which Phillip equated with the term "nigger". At the Immunity Challenge, Rob, Julie, Ralph, Andrea, Steve, and Grant moved on to the final round. In the final round, Rob barely edged out Steve for the win. When the tribe returned back to camp, Julie buried Phillip's swim trunks while he was out on a walk. At Tribal Council, the argument between Phillip and Steve was discussed. Phillip thought Steve's tone during the argument had a racist undertone. Steve declared there was no prejudice within him. Jeff then asked who had taken Phillip's swim trunks, to which Julie joyfully fessed to taking them and burying them under a rock. When the votes were cast, Julie was sent to Redemption Island by a vote of 6–3.

Body of Proof S01E05

Episode 05 - Dead Man Walking (19/04/2011)

A sweaty, panicked Ted Harbinson makes his way through the city streets. A short time later, he’s dead. After Megan takes a whiff of his duffle bag, she realizes the guy may have recently had a cheese steak. They just need to find out where. No problem. How many cheese steak places can there be in Philly, right?

The bag was grabbed by a worker at Al’s Cheese Steaks. The guy claims he took the abandoned duffle bag, but didn’t see a body. Back at the lab, Megan realizes the victim recently had surgery at her old hospital for a gall bladder problem. She does a little cutting to find the guy’s abdomen full of blood. Megan says, “A mugger did not kill Ted Harbinson. A surgeon did.”

Megan meets with one-time friend Gwen Baldwin, who now runs things at her former workplace. Gwen seems more interested in caring for a bonsai tree than chatting with her old chum. The tree belonged to Gwen’s son, who overdosed at a frat party four years ago. Megan is, of course, sympathetic. But she still needs to chat with the victim’s hotshot surgeon, Dr. Mark Chandler.

Dr. Chandler claims he did everything by the book. Things get real combative, real fast. Gwen tells Megan all future queries are to go through the legal team. But a surgical nurse, Nancy Follett, tells Megan and Peter that it’s only a matter of time before the reckless doc kills a patient. This is a situation Megan knows all too well. She also knows the artery clips Dr. Chandler used on his patient were not properly closed. The question is: Was this malpractice or murder?

Ethan and Curtis examine a woman who died from a blood clot that was the size of a hot dog. The sight of the woman’s identical twin sister catches Ethan off guard. Is it bad taste to call Karen Archer (guest star Christina Hendricks) drop dead gorgeous since she came in to ID her deceased sis? Ethan feels an immediate connection to this woman. Could it be because she’s Geoffrey Arend’s real-life wife? Nah.

When Karen asks Ethan to help her outside the office, he worries it could be inappropriate. But he goes out with her anyway. Did we mention she’s gorgeous? Back at the office, Curtis tells Ethan that his new lady friend is at risk from that same condition that killed her sister. The race is on to find Karen. Ethan tracks her down to say there’s no way she’s getting on a plane until a top doc checks her out. Some guys will do anything to keep a girl around. Ethan says, “I’ll settle for keeping you alive.” Nice.

Kate uses her influence to get access of the video that was taken during Ted Harbinson’s operation. The hospital claims there is no recording. However, Gwen turns over the files for everyone who had access to the surgical equipment. Ethan and Curtis dig through gobs of infectious waste to find the gun used to clamp the artery. Someone tampered with it.

Sam learns that Ted Harbinson’s wife dined at the cheese steak place she visited earlier where she met with Nancy Follett. The wife and the nurse could have been in cahoots to split the dough from a malpractice lawsuit. That’s not the case, as Megan learns their victim had his surgery rescheduled. He wasn’t the intended target. She also realizes that there are two other faulty clamp guns somewhere out there. Kate, Megan and team march into the hospital to shut things down.

One of the defective staple guns was used on a man named George White. Megan and Peter find the guy unconscious on the floor of his home. They need to act fast or he’ll die. The last time Megan cut into a patient, she killed the person. She manages to save George, who later reveals he was in a frat at a school with a name she recognizes.

Traces of bonsai tree were found on the defective staple guns. Megan realizes that her old friend Gwen tampered with the surgical instruments used in the operation. She wanted revenge on the frat leader she blamed for her son’s OD. Case closed. Later, Megan tries to convince the cocky Dr. Chandler to be more careful and caring in the future, as she used to be just like him. Thankfully, she’s not anymore.

Body of Proof is an American medical drama television series created by Chris Murphey and produced by ABC Studios. Starring Dana Delany and Jeri Ryan, the series premiered on March 29, 2011.

The series stars Delany as Dr. Megan Hunt, a medical examiner. The show will focus on Hunt's efforts to balance the demands of her professional life with her personal life. Hunt was previously employed as a top flight neurosurgeon who has a life changing automobile accident. Her boss is the city's chief medical examiner, played by Ryan.

A brilliant neurosurgeon, Dr. Megan Hunt had it all, or so she thought. As the first female head of Neurosurgery at a prominent university hospital in Philadelphia, she never paid attention to how the requirements of her profession were reflected in her personal life, until her husband divorced her and she lost custody of their seven-year-old daughter. Still not recovered from the emotional trauma, Megan was physically transformed – a car accident left her with a condition called paresthesia – random attacks of numbness and cramping of her hands. Tragically, this disease did not appear before Megan went back to work. During an operation, she lost control of her instruments, which resulted in a patient's death. Megan's life as a neurosurgeon was finished.

Five years later, Megan has found new life as a court-medical expert, using her medical instincts that guided her so well when diagnosing the living to instead discover causes of death, disclose who was responsible, and why. As she seeks answers, she finds clues in the bodies of the dead. The body, in fact, is the proof. And with her unique blend of intelligence, instinct and medical knowledge, she can read the body like no other.

As the submission date approaches, Dan starts to doubt the qualify of his film, so Savannah tries to help the situation. Alice works with a school reporter to expose a student cheating scandal.

Hellcats is an American cheerleading comedy-drama television series that airs on The CW in the United States. Based on the book Cheer: Inside the Secret World of College Cheerleaders by journalist Kate Torgovnick, the series focuses in the lives of college cheerleaders, mainly Marti Perkins (Aly Michalka), a pre-law college student who has to join the cheerleading team, the Hellcats, in order to get the athletic scholarship she needs. The main cast also includes Ashley Tisdale, Robbie Jones, Heather Hemmens, Matt Barr, Gail O'Grady and Sharon Leal.

In May 2010, Hellcats had been picked by The CW for the fall 2010–11 season. Initially with a 13-episode order, The CW aired the series after America's Next Top Model on Wednesday nights. The pilot episode aired on September 8, 2010, and became the first premiere to ever match or build on an America's Next Top Model lead-in since The CW began in 2006. The CW later gave a full season order for the series, with executives saying they were "thrilled that [it] paid off for us".

Hellcats follows Marti Perkins, a pre-law college student at Lancer University, who lost her scholarship and has no other choice but to join the college's cheer squad, the Hellcats, in order to obtain a new one. There she meets her new roommate and team captain Savannah Monroe, the injured flyer Alice Verdura, her new partner Lewis Flynn and the Hellcats coach Vanessa Lodge who hopes to win nationals, otherwise the cheer leading program will be cut. All the while, Marti also has to deal with her financially unstable and sometimes irresponsible mother, Wanda Perkins, whom she often has to bail out of difficult situations, and her best friend Dan Patch. Dan and Savannah begin dating and subsequently split after Marti revealed that she and Dan hooked up, but Savannah and Dan reconcile at Dan's brother's wedding.
