Ghost Hunters S06E12

Episode 12 - America's First Zoo (01/09/2010)

TAPS has investigated a LOT of interesting places, but this one takes the cage, er, cake! The Philadelphia Zoo is the oldest in the country, but the reported Native American burial ground beneath it is even older.

While there are no claims of animal ghosts, there are reports from the staff of disembodied voices, footsteps, apparitions and faces peeking through windows and misty shadows. There are 5 buildings to investigate, so the team has its hands quite full.

The night kicks off with team leaders Grant and Jason investigating the Shelley Building, where a staff member had reported seeing a face peek through a curtain. The guys conclude there is no way a person could misinterpret such a vision, so the claim can't easily be debunked. They are distracted by odd an thump that they can't track. Then the sound of a heavy door opening set them off on a chase, but there was no door around that could have made that sound. So eerie.

K.J. and Brit check out the Penrose Building where an apparition had been seen. Again with the odd, untraceable and migrating noises! Throw in some cold spots and possibly an apparition sighting, (though that's for the DVR playback to decide) and it's definitely an active building. The two later check out the tunnels under the Solitude House, but don't find much beyond banging and knocking and a humming noise. (Though there's no denying that place is creeeeeeeeepy.)

Meanwhile, "The Tree House" which is loads of fun for kids by day, provides Amy and Kris with some fun knocking games coming from something at night. Again, the real evidence of paranormal will hopefully present itself in the EVP playback during the analysis session.

The Solitude House gave a spook to Jason when he stumbled upon an old portrait! As if it wasn't tense enough, when he was investigating some scuffing and walking noises, the thermal camera was actually knocked off the stairs!

The girls then head into the tunnels, where Amy is freaked out. That's not surprising given her fear of caves. So she prefers to deal with the noise outside while Kris experiences something touching her head on the subterranean level.

The odd noises continue for Brit and K.J. in the Solitude's attic - finding doors open that they'd closed. Grant and Jason take a turn in the tunnels, and hear voices and music, a waltz- like tune, yet they can't follow the sound. File that one under "weird".

The best part comes during the analysis and presentation. The footage caught lots of audio that puts even the most seasoned scientist back on his heels. Overall, one of the coolest cases they've ever done!

Make It or Break It S02E10

Episode 10 - At the Edge of the Worlds (31/08/2010)

Ellen Beals calls a meeting to discuss Sasha‘s fate now that the kiss with Payson has been revealed. The NGO decides to suspend Sasha until further notice. With World Team trials days away, the girls freak out, but Beals informs the group that she will be taking Sasha‘s place as their coach.
Ellen announces that the World Team Trials has been moved up a day early, which happens to be the same day as Emily‘s court date.

Sasha goes to the Keeler house and tells Mark and Kim that he made a promise to Payson to get her to the Olympics and he intends to keep his promise. Mark wanting to protect Payson, tells Sasha that Payson has suffered enough embarrassment and questions whether his intentions are really to help Payson or to save his career.

Rejected, Sasha returns to his trailer where Summer tries to convince Sasha that he is a good man. She begins to kiss him and Sasha stops her before things go too far.

Summer, upset that she almost compromised her values runs to church to pray. At church, Summer finds Steve who has also come to pray about Lauren‘s bitterness towards her mom‘s death which is all his fault. Summer tells Steve that he should tell Lauren the truth about her mother Leslie making an attempt to visit Lauren.

Austin informs Kaylie that he doesn‘t think she should compete in Trials in her condition.

Damon runs into Chloe at her new job and she shares with him that Emily is in trouble.

In an effort to help Emily, Damon asks his stepfather who is a lawyer to make a call to a colleague to have Emily‘s court date postponed. Ellen Beals intercepts the call from the judge that is intended for Sasha verifying Emily as an elite gymnast and she suggest to the judge that Emily learn consequences for her actions and the court date remain the same.

After speaking to Payson, Mark agrees to let Sasha coach her and rents a private gym for them to practice. While Sasha is working with Payson, he calls his dad, the famous Demetri Belov to coach the girls in his absence.

When the Rock girls compete against the Chinese everyone calls them gutsy. (Or crazy.) When they win five medals -- compared to the National Team's four -- people say they're the best. But the Rock gymnasts and their coach are also being called renegades – a label that could hurt them in the eyes of the National Committee.

It's a risky choice to go against the National Committee -- one that could have serious ramifications. And it's not the only major decision the gymnasts have had to make. Kaylie risks losing her endorsements by competing in the invitational, and Emily could lose her scholarship.

Then there are the other personal choices everyone's had to make. Whether it's a decision about love, friendship or family -- everything in the girls' lives has been kicked up a notch. (Or a million.)

The stakes are higher than ever. The gymnasts will be pushed to the limit. And loyalties will be tested like never before.

All eyes are upon them. They have so much to prove. And so much to lose.

There's only one thing left to do …

Rock on!

Weeds S06E03

Episode 03 - A Yippity Sippity (30/08/2010)

While Shane babysits Stevie, Nancy, Andy and Silas become scab workers at a Seattle hotel while the regular staff is on strike. As the maid, Nancy must clean up an unappealing mess, while Andy the dishwasher has problems with the head chef and Silas the bellhop is given an unusual proposition from a wealthy patron. While on the job, Nancy jumps at an opportunity to gain extra income by selling hash. Back in Ren Mar, Cesar and Ignacio confront Doug with a gun. [source]

Weeds is an American black comedy-drama television series created by Jenji Kohan and produced by Lionsgate Television, which began airing on the Showtime cable television network in 2005. The show revolves around Nancy Botwin (Mary-Louise Parker), a widowed Southern Californian mother of two boys—Silas (Hunter Parrish) and the younger, Shane (Alexander Gould)—who turns to selling marijuana to support her family after her husband unexpectedly dies. Over the course of the show, Nancy becomes involved in illegal activities on an escalating scale. The title is a double entendre: it plays on the word "weed", a slang for cannabis, but also refers to "widow's weeds", the black garment worn by mourning widows.

The sixth season premiered on Monday August 16, 2010 at 10ET/PT on Showtime.

The Botwin family flees north in the wake of Shane's killing of Pilar. Andy joins them after Audra breaks off their relationship. Being unable to cross the Canadian border without the baby's birth certificate, Nancy, Andy, Silas, Shane and Stevie assume new identities as "The Newmans" (as Nathalie, Randy, Mike, Shawn and Avi, respectively) and settle in Seattle. Silas is 19 in this season with Shane, 15, the same age as Silas at the beginning of the series. Stevie would be 1 considering time frames.

Nancy, Andy and Silas take menial jobs as scab labor at a local hotel, where Nancy discovers the resident drug dealer to be on strike. Seeing an opportunity to fill that void, she seeks out a local distributor (Hamilton) and, realizing she does not have enough money to buy much marijuana, she instead buys up the seller's trimmings and produces hashish, using the hotel's laundry equipment. While the rest of the family works, Shane babysits Stevie. Back in southern California, Esteban tasks Cesar and Ignacio with finding Nancy and bringing back his son. While looking for clues at the Ren Mar house, they encounter Doug and coerce him into helping find the Botwins.

Andy asks Nancy to romantically free him, as he cannot do it himself. He begs her to tell him it will never happen, to which she replies with an inconclusive answer. As Nancy and Andy begin to leave the weed dealer's house, they are confronted by two police officers and asked about the unpaid parking tickets from the stolen license plates on Andy's minivan, resulting in the decision that the family would flee again. Cesar and Ignacio receive a phone call from OnStar about the location of the van (which blew a tire when Andy tried to remove the police boot with a blowtorch). Cesar, Ignacio, and Doug then travel to Seattle and search for clues in the van. After Nancy convinces Silas to steal his girlfriend's car, she spots Doug tied up in the back of Cesar's car at the motel and Cesar arguing with the manager. As she panics and hysterically tries to gather the family, a series of bizarre problems occur, culminating with Shane calling to tell her he'd been kidnapped by Cesar and Ignacio.

Cesar negotiates a trade with Nancy: Shane for Stevie. Despite agreeing, Nancy meets Cesar with Gayle's crossbow hidden in a bassinet, then shoots Cesar in the leg. She receives a phone call from Ignacio, who unintentionally tells her about his run in with her three sons, Andy, and Doug at the local diner. When Nancy arrives there, she joins the group at the table and attempts to negotiate with Ignacio by holding a gun under the table. Ignacio calls her bluff - Shane then takes the gun. Ignacio reluctantly folds to Shane. Now the Botwin family and Doug continue off-the-grid living according to Andy. During the flee, they stop at a carnival (much to Andy's disapproval). They end up winning a RV, but without proper identification they are unable to claim it. Liking the idea of RV travel, they purchase an older used RV and travel to an out-of-the-way trailer park. Andy and Doug pose as a preacher and assistant, taking appropriate donations. A frustrated Nancy goes to a bar and has sex with the bartender. The next day she finds out the bartender has a wife who is also her neighbour and they are subsequently chased out of town.

As the Botwins continue their nomadic lifestyle on the run in their RV, they stop in Colorado. They continue to bargain for the trimmings of other dealers' weed. In Aspen, Nancy and Andy drop off Silas and Shane to sell hash. When Stevie's feces are an abnormal colour, Nancy decides he needs a pediatrician. Shane discovers Silas wants to apply for college, and Silas in turn learns Shane doesn't have any of his own back up plans. At the pediatrician's office, Nancy sees herself on the TV listed as a missing person. The doctor says Stevie is fine, but suggests the baby may not be bonding with her, and that the baby's lifestyle could be a factor, making her rethink their way of life. Andy suggests moving to Denmark, with which Nancy agrees.

The group travels to Nancy's hometown, Dearborn, where they stay with Nancy's former high school teacher Mr. Schiff (Richard Dreyfuss), with whom she had a sexual relationship from the age of 14. Silas discovers that Judah is not his father, but rather Nancy's former boyfriend Lars is. The Botwins are found by an investigative journalist named Vaughn, who is writing an article about Nancy. She gives him the information he needs to write her story in exchange for cash to buy passports. Doug returns to Agrestic, retitled Regrestic after the fire, where he tries to win back his wife. Mr. Schiff steals money from a post office for plane tickets to Copenhagen for the family, himself included. Silas says goodbye to Nancy, intending to stay behind with Lars. Nancy goes to meet Vaughn a final time before leaving, only to find his room has been ransacked with Esteban and Guillermo waiting for her.

Esteban and Guillermo take Nancy to the airport, where they plan to find Stevie. Nancy makes contact with Andy, telling him they are going to use "Plan C". After Esteban threatens Silas and takes Stevie, Nancy agrees to leave the airport with them, and they tell her that they intend to kill her. Andy, Silas, Shane and Mr. Schiff board the plane to Copenhagen (via Paris), but Mr. Schiff is arrested for robbing the post office. As Nancy leaves the airport, the FBI are waiting for them outside. As part of "Plan C", she confesses to the murder of Pilar, thus saving her own life after ensuring the safety of her family, in particular, Shane.
