The 36th season of the NBC sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live is currently in production. The season began on September 25, 2010, with former cast member Amy Poehler serving as host and Katy Perry as the musical guest.

Saturday Night Live (SNL) is a live late-night television sketch comedy and variety show developed by Lorne Michaels and Dick Ebersol. It premiered on NBC, a terrestrial television network in the United States, on October 11, 1975, under the original title of NBC's Saturday Night.

The show's sketches often parody contemporary American culture and politics. Saturday Night Live features a two-tiered cast consisting of repertory members, also called the "Not Ready For Prime Time Players" (the name used by the show's original cast), and newer cast members who are known as "Featured Players."

Each week, the show features a host who delivers an opening monologue and performs in sketches with the cast. A musical guest also performs. With the exception of season 7, the show has begun with a cold open sketch (usually based around politically-themed current events) that ends with someone breaking character and proclaiming, "Live from New York, it's Saturday Night!"

In an effort to protect the rest of the team, Oliver decides to register for the Vigilante Registration Act to see what the government plans to do with the new law. As he suspected, it was a trap to lure superheroes to an undisclosed location where he is confined to a jail and subjected to a battery of brutal tests under the supervision of Col. Slade. Aquaman and his new wife Mera team up with Clark to free Oliver. Lois is frustrated when Clark continues to push aside her offers to help the team and sets out to prove she can play with the big boys. Tom Welling directed the episode written by John Chisolm.

Season ten of Smallville, an American television series, premiered on September 24, 2010 and will consist of 22 episodes. It will be the fifth and final season to air on the CW television network. The series recounts the early adventures of Kryptonian Clark Kent as he adjusts to life in the fictional town of Smallville, Kansas, during the years before he becomes Superman. Regular cast members during season ten currently include Tom Welling, Erica Durance, Justin Hartley, Cassidy Freeman, and Allison Mack.

The final season of the series, season ten plans to continue the romance first developed between Clark Kent and Lois Lane in season nine, as well as the continuation of Clark's trials, and the forging of his superhero identity "Superman". During its tenth season, Smallville will beat the Guinness World Record for longest consecutive running United States science fiction television show—currently held by Stargate SG-1

Episode 09 - Justified (19/11/2010)..

The body of a woman who was beaten and shot is found to be the same woman who stole the identity of Chief Carver's sister 15 years ago. The bullet from the victim's body is linked to a gun registered to Chief Carver which adds to makes initial suspensions that Carver was somehow involved in his sister's murder. Carver claims he lost the gun years ago but never bothered to report it; Mac isn't buying it and knows he is hiding something. The team finds the victim's true identity, Marcella Gomez, and discovers she was an illegal immigrant who married an abusive man for a green card. She stole Roni's identity to stay in the country and ran from her abusive husband. The team tracks the husband down and he admits to murdering Marcella. He claims that he used the gun from her purse to shoot Marcella but has no idea who Roni Parker is. Hitting a dead-end, Mac decides to re-examine the forensic evidence from Roni's body and finds the DNA from the chewing gum found with her body matches to her son. Roni was an abusive mother and her son Jay had enough and planned her murder. Carver knew what happened but also knew that Roni's children suffered horrible abuse and he never stepped in to help them. He took the children in and raised them like his own and buried the secret to protect Roni’s son Jay. Carver gave Marcella, Roni's identity to help her run from her abuse situation. Mac is relieved his colleague is innocent of the murder but knows Carver will be disgraced and fired for doing what he thought was right for his nephew.

CSI: NY (Crime Scene Investigation: New York) is an American police procedural television series that premiered on September 22, 2004, on CBS. The series was the second indirect spin-off from the veteran series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and directly from CSI: Miami during an episode in which several of the CSI: NY characters made their first appearance. In season seven the show airs on Fridays at 9/8PM ET/PT on CBS or in the UK on Channel Five on Saturdays at 9:40pm. Repeats are usually shown on Five USA.

The show follows the investigations of a team of NYPD forensic scientists and police officers as they unveil the circumstances behind mysterious and unusual deaths as well as other crimes. CSI: NY was produced in partnership with the Canadian media company Alliance Atlantis. The company dissolved after the third season in 2007 and all production is now done under the purview of CBS Paramount Television.

A man plummets to his death from a Las Vegas hotel and the two women he was in the room with that night, Stacey and Dana, claim they have no memory of what happened. Both women are found to have had engaged in sexual activity that night, Dana with the victim and Stacey with a mystery man. Dana initially claims she was raped but once our CSIs layout the evidence showing she was relatively sober the night of the murder, she confesses that she and the victim met each other in the hall after he helped her get away from the mystery man who had slept with her friend and then tried to rape her. They were instantly attracted to one another and while engaging in a Kama Sutra sex position on the balcony, the man accidentally fell off. Meanwhile, Sara and Greg investigate the deaths of a couple where the evidence doesn't seem to point to anyone else being present in their house at the time of their deaths. The team soon discovers that all the evidence actually points to a couple of unlikely suspects - the couple’s pets. The husband was giving their parrot a bath and their cat spooked him and the parrot, causing the man to slip and hit his head in the tub. The wife heard the commotion while cooking and when she went to investigate the spooked bird leaped out at her, causing her to fall backwards into the coffee table and accidentally stabbed herself in the chest.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (also known as CSI: Las Vegas) is an American crime drama television series, which premiered on CBS on October 6, 2000. The show was created by Anthony E. Zuiker and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. It is filmed primarily at Universal Studios in Universal City, California.

The series follows Las Vegas criminalists as they use physical evidence to solve grisly murders in this unusually graphic drama, which has inspired a host of other cop-show "procedurals". An immediate ratings smash for CBS, the series mixes deduction, gritty subject matter and popular characters. The network quickly capitalized on its hit with spin-offs CSI: Miami and CSI: NY.

CSI was renewed for an eleventh season on May 19, 2010.

When a serial kidnapper "over there" strikes again, the emotional and familiar case hits home for Colonel Broyles, sending a determined Olivia to uncover additional details about the abductions. In the meantime, Olivia fights on and reunites with Henry to enlist his services on an intense and covert mission to return home.

Fringe follows the casework of the Fringe Division, a Joint Federal Task Force supported primarily by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, which includes Agent Olivia Dunham; Dr. Walter Bishop, the archetypal mad scientist; and Peter Bishop, Walter's estranged son and jack-of-all-trades. They are supported by Phillips Broyles, the force's director, and Agent Astrid Farnsworth, who assists Walter in laboratory research. The Fringe Division investigates cases relating to fringe science, ranging from transhumanist experiments gone wrong to the prospect of a destructive technological singularity to a possible collision of two parallel universes. The Fringe Division's work often intersects with advanced biotechnology developed by a company called Massive Dynamic, founded by Walter's former partner, Dr. William Bell and run by their common friend, Nina Sharp. The team is also watched silently by a group of bald, pale men who call themselves "Observers".

Season 1 introduces the Fringe Division as they investigate cases that form "the Pattern", many orchestrated by the bioterrorist organization, ZFT (Zerstörung durch Fortschritte der Technologie, or in English, Destruction through advances in technology). Olivia comes to learn she was a child test subject for Walter years ago for a nootropic drug, Cortexiphan, giving her weak psionic abilities. In Season 2, the occurrences are found to be in conjunction with activities of a parallel universe, which is plagued by singularities occurring at weakened points of their world. The Fringe team deals with more cases that are leading to a "perfect storm" as the parallel universe appears to be at war with the prime one. Walter is forced to tell Peter that he is from the parallel universe, a replacement for his own Peter that died from a genetic disease, and that it is his prior experiments that caused the singularities in the parallel universe.[3]

Season 3 presents episodes that alternate between the two universes. "Walternate",[4] Walter's doppelgänger in the parallel universe, has set events in motion to assemble a doomsday device that reacts only to Peter's biology, sending his Olivia, "Fauxlivia", into the prime universe in Olivia's place, get close to Peter, and guide them to find the doomsday device's prime universe counterpart. Olivia, trapped in the parallel universe, is subjected to experimentation by Walternate to explore her Cortexiphan-induced abilities. She is able to escape to her own universe using her psionic abilities and expose Fauxlivia to Peter. Fauxlivia is extracted to the parallel universe, having withdrawn a critical component of the doomsday device, but soon finds she is pregnant with Peter's child. In the prime universe, Olivia and Peter resolve their relation due to Fauxlivia's involvement, while evidence of weak points in the fabric of reality start to develop.

Cougar Town S02E08

Episode 08 - Little Girl Blues (17/11/2010)..

Travis brings his home his new grad student girlfriend Kirsten. The fact that she’s 23 thoroughly impresses the men. Travis says Kirsten is amazing which leads the boys to break out into a ditty Jules made up. It goes a little something like this: “If you’re headed in a sexy direction, you better use contraception ‘cause babies destroy your dreams!” It’s a love song.

The Cul-De-Sac crew convenes at Grayson’s place to dish on Trav’s new lady. The discussion comes to a screeching halt when the gang raids the G-man’s kitchen for grub. Ellie warns that now that he’s let them into his home they’ll never leave. Grayson realizes she’s right when he sees Bobby walking around in his underwear having just thrown in a quick load of laundry.

Ellie warns that any girl Travis dates from here on out is potential daughter-in-law material. Jules realizes she needs someone to stop her before she gets too crazy with her boy’s new girl. In other words, she needs a Cobb-Stopper. It won’t be easy because Jules will get nasty with anyone who tries to impede her Travis-fueled instincts. Laurie’s up for the challenge. No matter how bad it gets, she will not stop Cobb-Stopping.

When Travis opts to have some private pizza with his girlfriend instead of a big dinner with his mom, Jules is sincerely bummed. Fortunately, she has Big Joe to make her feel better. Big Joe, in case you don’t know, is a huge goblet that once held 8,000 pennies. Joe found new life as Jules’ loyal, abyss-like wine glass.

Odd neighbor Tom shows up at the next Kirsten discussion at Grayson’s place. That’s one more person he can’t get out of his house. But the men do step outside long enough to give advice to Travis, who is worried that the next time he and Kirsten are intimate will suffer in comparison to the first time. Bobby refers to this as a classic case of RPA—Repeat Performance Anxiety.

Bobby forces all the guys fess up regarding their fear of inadequacy when it comes to sex. Andy gets so nervous he has to do a confidence dance to get rid of the jitters. Grayson gets so terrified that his butt gets really cold. Just call him “chilly tush.” Travis ultimately learns that being a man is all about the constant fear of disappointing a woman. Good talk, Dad.

Ellie says the only way Grayson can get his freeloading friends out of his house is to create a barrier. Locking the doors and windows doesn’t work. Somehow the boys make their way inside to catch that rerun of Designing Women they recorded earlier. Bobby says, “Man, back in the day, Delta Burke was really bringin’ it.” So true. Grayson takes drastic measures by letting a skunk loose in his house which sends his friends fleeing. Now he’s free to watch Designing Women all by himself in the privacy of his empty, smelly home.

Jules believes that Kirsten may be trying to wrestle her son’s soul away from her because she baked scones. Hey, we never said she was the most rational mom in the world. Things go from bad to worse when Kirsten announces that she and Travis may be spending Thanksgiving with her folks. Time to call in the Cobb-Stopper!

Laurie tries to advise Kirsten on how to deal with Jules. She says she’s like a shark. And the best way to fend off an attacking shark is to punch him in the nose. We’re thinking Laurie didn’t have to actually thwack Kirsten in the face to make her point, but that’s what ends up happening. Yes, these are dangerous waters.

Kirsten does her best to stand tall and tough, but Jules is a formidable foe. The two take part in a decent little verbal sparring match that abruptly ends when Kirsten accidentally knocks Big Joe off the counter smashing him into a million pieces. Jules is livid and Kirsten is upset because Travis hasn’t been backing her.

Jules eventually comes around and encourages Travis to talk it out with his girl. She also has a heart-to-heart chat with Kirsten to go over the upside of having a boyfriend with a psycho mom. A lot of the things Kirsten loves about Travis are her doing, like the way he opens doors or the way he never looks at other girls. All Jules asks as a thank you is that Kirsten be nice to her boy. Sounds like a plan.

Cougar Town is an American television sitcom that premiered on ABC on 23 September 2009. The series focuses on a recently divorced mom in her forties facing the often humorous challenges, pitfalls and rewards of life's next chapter, along with her son, ex-husband, and friends who together make up her dysfunctional, but supportive and caring extended family.

The girls met Miss J. and acting coach Barbara Terrinoni, who taught them about acting and emoting. Later, their personalities and confidence were put to the test when they met one-on-one with Vogue Italia's editor-in-chief, Franca Sozzani. Franca was impressed by Ann’s pictures, but ultimately chose Chelsey to win the prize of a private viewing of Leonardo Da Vinci’s “The Last Supper” with André Leon Talley, as well as an overnight stay at a seven star Milan hotel called the Town House Galleria, which she shared with Kayla.

The girls arrived in Verona, where Jay informed them that two of them will be eliminated at the next panel. Tyra directed the girls during a motion editorial challenge that requires them to bring their poses to life with movement and emotion.

At panel, Franca sat as the guest judge. All the girls receive mixed reviews regarding their performances but the judges were impressed by all nevertheless. Ann created an all-time high record after receiving her sixth collective first call-out of the cycle, leaving Chelsey, Jane and Kayla in the bottom three. It was noted that Chelsey’s passion, love and knowledge of the industry inspired the judges, but her photos were never the best, albeit still strong; Kayla has a unique look and a stellar portfolio, but she has not yet mastered her angles; Jane had the strongest face and bone structure, but was forgettable for a large part of the competition.

Tyra handed Chelsey the final photo, thus eliminating both Jane and Kayla.

After the credits, Tyra premiered her directorial debut of Modelli Folli (“Model Madness”).

Ghost Hunters S06E23

Episode 23 - Sloss Furnaces (17/11/2010)

Get ready! Meat Loaf is back on the team and he is just full of energy! Tonight the legendary singer turned ghost hunter is joining TAPS as they investigate one of the most notoriously creepy sites in Alabama: Sloss Furnace. The locale has long been on the top of Jason and Grants investigation wish list.

The 50 acre industrial plant, operating from 1882 until the early 1970s, was a warehouse of death: folks boiled alive by steam explosions, burned to death in the blast furnaces and plummeting 40 feet to their deaths in the underground tunnels. Obviously, those perished will want to haunt the site of their wretched demise. The most famous haunt is James "Slag" Wormwood, an abusive foreman who fell into a furnace -or was he pushed?!

Claims are bold: a lot of actual apparitions of people pacing, dragging shovels and making loads of banging noises to the point that the police have been summoned to investigate. Even they couldn't figure out the sounds! In the tunnels reports are of footsteps and apparitions. In the blowing room, where large wheels create suction so strong they have pulled a man, crushing him to death. Here people have been grabbed and heard voices yelling "go" and "stop"!

The investigators had their share of experiences over two nights. Jason, Grant and Meat Loaf jumped out of their shoes when they saw a figure pass by the window and there is NO WAY it was Steve as they'd originally thought. Jason is cursing and Grant is stammering to speak he is so shocked - this was probably the clearest apparition he has seen in a long, long time. Then in the tunnels they experienced auditory matrixing: when the sound of running water makes it hard for the brain to understand what its hearing. So are they hearing the voice say his name is "Paul", or is it just the water? Interesting.

Steve and Tango hear scuffling near the tracks as if someone is running around, then Steve saw a really strange brown shadow moving around twice. Unexplained, and crazy!

On night two, the experiences are even crazier. The smell of moth balls comes and goes in the tunnels for Steve, Tango and Meat Loaf. Meat Loaf asks the ghost if his name was Paul, and the K-2 lights up like mad. On the bridge Grant gets pushed, and it wasn't Jason. Then Jason hears "hey look", but it wasn't Grant. Someone is messing with them!

In the blowing engine room, Steve and Tango figure out that a swinging beam made the banging they heard, but that's not something that could start swinging on its own. Meat Loaf, Amy and Adam hold conversations with spirits that can start the K-2 meter and turn flashlight on and off. Then blocking out the laser light was shadow of a man. Then it started moving closer and closer. It's amazing!!! Then it started backing away. This will stick with Amy forever.

At the end of the night, Meat Loaf announces that Jason and Grant can retire as he is ready to take over. Love that guy!

The evidence did pick up some recordings of voices and even an image of an apparition. That's pretty cool and this place is CLEARLY haunted. This was a great investigation. The best in years!

Episode 10 - Pledging My Love (17/11/2010)

Julian discovers Morgan and Marti are investigating Travis's case behind his back and cuts them from the team. Dan, still conflicted about his feelings for Marti, makes a harsh decision concerning Savannah. Derrick enlists the Hellcats to help him choreograph a dance after he decides to propose to Vanessa. Meanwhile, a compromising picture of Alice is sent around the school. Lewis helps Alice track down the culprit, who becomes Alice's target for revenge.

Hellcats is an American cheerleading comedy-drama television series that airs on The CW in the United States. Based on the book Cheer: Inside the Secret World of College Cheerleaders by journalist Kate Torgovnick, the series focuses in the lives of college cheerleaders, mainly Marti Perkins (Aly Michalka), a pre-law college student who has to join the cheerleading team, the Hellcats, in order to get the athletic scholarship she needs. The main cast also includes Ashley Tisdale, Robbie Jones, Heather Hemmens, Matt Barr, Gail O'Grady and Sharon Leal.

In May 2010, Hellcats had been picked by The CW for the fall 2010–11 season. Initially with a 13-episode order, The CW aired the series after America's Next Top Model on Wednesday nights. The pilot episode aired on September 8, 2010, and became the first premiere to ever match or build on an America's Next Top Model lead-in since The CW began in 2006. The CW later gave a full season order for the series, with executives saying they were "thrilled that [it] paid off for us".

Hellcats follows Marti Perkins, a pre-law college student at Lancer University, who lost her scholarship and has no other choice but to join the college's cheer squad, the Hellcats, in order to obtain a new one. There she meets her new roommate and team captain Savannah Monroe, the injured flyer Alice Verdura, her new partner Lewis Flynn and the Hellcats coach Vanessa Lodge who hopes to win nationals, otherwise the cheer leading program will be cut. All the while, Marti also has to deal with her financially unstable and sometimes irresponsible mother, Wanda Perkins, whom she often has to bail out of difficult situations, and her best friend Dan Patch. Dan and Savannah begin dating and subsequently split after Marti revealed that she and Dan hooked up, but Savannah and Dan reconcile at Dan's brother's wedding.

Criminal Minds S06E09

Episode 09 - Into the Woods (17/11/2010)

When a family of hikers on the Appalachian Trail comes across the body of an 8-year-old kid, the BAU are brought in to profile and find the serial child abuser and murderer before he strikes again.

Joseph Lanham, the father of Daniel, the boy whose body was found, is an early suspect. Forensics shows that Daniel was killed right around the time Joseph gave up looking for him. But he is dismissed when Garcia helps uncover a string of other abductions up and down the trail, starting from long before Joseph and his family moved to the area.

Recently, though, the area of abductions and dump sites has been contained to a 30-mile area in Pennsylvania. The team theorizes that the abductor suffered some kind of injury, and isn’t in good enough shape to hike the whole trail anymore.

The cases shifts into overdrive when young Ana and Robert Brooks, 9 and 10, are taken from their campsite in the UnSub’s territory. After a night’s fruitless searching, the team finally tracks them down to an abandoned coal mine in the hills. Brave Robert devises a plan that allows his sister to escape, but the UnSub (named Shane Wyatt) takes him to a nearby town.

The BAU track Shane to the house of drug dealer and pedophile Brandon Hayes, to whom he has traded Robert for a supply of painkillers. They recue the child, but Shane eludes capture and escapes back to the trail.

Criminal Minds revolves around an elite team of FBI profilers who analyse the country's most twisted criminal minds, anticipating their next move before they strike again.

David Rossi (Joe Mantegna) comes out of retirement to help the the Behavioral Analysis Unit lead by Aaron Hotchner (Thomas Gibson), a family man who's able to gain people's trust and unlock their secrets. Also on the team are Emily Prentiss (Paget Brewster), the daughter of an ambassador and a surprise addition that neither Hotchner or Gideon signed off on; Derek Morgan (Shemar Moore), an expert in obsessional crimes; Dr. Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler), a classical misunderstood genius whose social IQ is as low as his intellectual IQ is high; and Jennifer 'JJ' Jareau (A.J. Cook), a confident young agent who acts as the unit liaison for the team. Also helping the team is Penelope Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness), the team's audio/visual technician.

Each member brings their own area of expertise to the table as they pinpoint predators' motivations and identify their emotional triggers in an attempt to stop them.

NCIS S08E08

Episode 08 - Enemies Foreign (16/11/2010)

­NCIS questions a woman who was electronically stealing credit card information by scanning an electronic scanner over people’s purse or wallets. One of the stolen numbers was flagged as being on the terrorist watch list. It turns out that it belongs to Mossad officer and employee of Eli David, Malachi Ben-Gion and his partner/Ziva’s replacement, Liat Tuvia. Vance, being somewhat elusive about a conference he has to attend, instructs Gibbs to take the lead on investigating the death of three smugglers found off the coast of Florida. The three smugglers turn out to be linked to the reason our Mossad officers are in town. Apparently three Palestinian terrorist paid the smugglers to transport them from Cuba into the states and then killed them to avoid a trace. Gibbs discovers that the terrorist are in town to assassinate Mossad Director Eli David who is attending Vance’s conference. NCIS must provide protection detail and Eli David and Gibbs is forced to contain his disdain for Eli who sent his daughter Ziva to die in the desert. Ziva, Tony, Malachi and Liat are instructed to secure the hotel where Vance’s conference is taking place. Liat questions Ziva commitment to providing protection detail for Eli David knowing how strained this father-daughter relationship has become. Things get even more chaotic when we discover that an Army transport truck carrying large amounts of weapons was just hijacked. Al- Masri, the head of the Palestinian terror group, is closing in and now it’s just a matter of when and where they will attempt to kill Eli David. Our team is able to apprehend two of the three terrorist but is unable to find Al-Masri. On the way to the conference gun fire erupts and Ziva instructs Eli and his diver, Amir Hadar, back to the safe house. We end the episode with Gibbs’s trying to contact the safe house and we see Hadar lying there dead and Eli no where in sight.

(Naval Criminal Investigative Service) is an action drama, about a team of special agents whose mission is to investigate any crime that has a shred of evidence connected to Navy and Marine Corps personnel, regardless of rank or position. Leading this team that operates outside of the military chain of command is NCIS Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon), a highly-skilled investigator and interrogator who is smart, tough and willing to bend the rules to get the job done. Working under Gibbs is Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) a former Homicide Detective who has instincts that come only from working on the streets. Joining them are Agent Kate Todd (Sasha Alexander), a beautiful, tough former Secret Service Agent who has gone head-to-head with Gibbs in the past. She is killed on the last episode of season 2. Kate is replaced by Officer Ziva David

NCIS Los Angeles S02E09

Episode 09 - Absolution (16/11/2010)

An infamous arms dealer, Kurt Renner, is murdered and NCIS:LA goes in search of a black book known to hold the names of weapons dealers they believe the killers were after. An old enemy turned friend from Hetty's espionage days, Branston Cole, is discovered to be the original holder of the infamous black book; he gave it to Renner years ago for safe passage to the West. Hetty, who is protective of Cole, works on her own to try and find Renner's killers knowing Cole's life may be in danger. Callen becomes very concerned with Hetty since he knows she is hiding something from the team and follows her. Meanwhile, Deeks and Kensi go to Renner's house and come upon two men claiming to be NSA Agents. Kensi hears a slight accent and knows they are lying and attacks the men catching them and Deeks by surprise. Her instinct was right and the men were French Intelligence; one of many foreign agents that have descended on L.A to find the black book. Hetty slips away again and meets a man she calls Mattias. It is the man that killed Renner and he tells her what he really wants is Burgess not the book and he knows Hetty is the only one who knows where he is. When Hetty won't divulge his location, Mattias takes her hostage but Calllen and the team were following Hetty and Sam disarms Mattias, saving Hetty. Hetty, knows she has unfinished business with Cole since she was the one who shot him years ago putting him in the nursing home. She returns to his room is shocked to find him shot to death. The investigation into Cole's murder will continue in a future episode.

He departed in the season's third episode, telling Hetty he wants to return to the Middle East.
