Criminal Minds : Suspect Behavior S01E03

Episode 03 - See No Evil (23/02/2011)

Our team arrives in Tucson, Arizona to investigate the murder of Kenneth Richards, when his body is found in his car and his eyes removed. Toxicology results yield that he was poisoned to death prior to his eyes being cut out. His eyes show up in newspaper stand suggesting that the actual newspaper may reveal something about this murder. The only connection our team can find is that Richards was about to go in for knee surgery and in one of the newspaper obituaries a gentleman, Steven Durant, died of complications from a similar type of surgery. The situation worsens when a nurse in Dr. Florio’s office is found dead in an examination room. The nurse was killed by being stabbed in the ear with an ice pick. Dr. Florio happened to be Richards and Durant’s surgeon. Durant’s wife settled with the hospital when she threatened to take legal action for her husband’s unnecessary death. Further investigation reveals that health board recently received an anonymous letter complaining of the high levels of staph infections that patients at that hospital were suffering from. Apparently those warnings went unnoticed and people like Steven Durant died. In the end our unsub turns out to be a retired nurse who worked for Dr. Florio. She unsuccessfully tried to blow the whistle on the hospital but was never heard. Kenneth Richards was a mercy kill because our unsub knew that he was going to have surgery soon. She wanted to send a message so she killed Dr. Florio’s nurse.

Forest Whitaker stars in a drama about an elite team of agents within the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit who use unconventional methods of investigation and aggressive tactics to capture the nation's most nefarious criminals. Unit chief Special Agent Sam Cooper (Whitaker) is a mentally and physically fierce natural leader who is not afraid to put his career on the line in order to stand by his convictions. Cooper strives to avoid political bureaucracy and has handpicked an eclectic group of profilers to work outside the confines of Quantico: Former British Special Forces soldier Mick Rawson (Matt Ryan), confident and handsome, works as a highly-skilled marksman with an undiluted eye for rooting out evil; John "Prophet" Sims (Michael Kelly), a former convict with a street-smart edge and a calm, Zen-like presence, who is determined to make amends for past sins; and Gina LaSalle (Beau Garrett), an attractive, tough agent armed with a cunning sense of perception. This exceptional group of FBI operatives is strong in their beliefs and steadfast in their mission to bring the country's most dangerous criminals to justice.
