CSI: Miami (Crime Scene Investigation: Miami) is an American police procedural television series, which premiered on September 23, 2002 on CBS. The series is a spin-off of the veteran series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. The pilot episode was first broadcast in United States on May 9, 2002 as an episode of CSI and nine seasons have been aired in the United States. The series is produced in partnership with the Canadian media company Alliance Atlantis and CBS Television Studios. On May 19, 2010, CBS renewed the show for a ninth season and will now air on Sundays at 10:00 PM ET/PT. Also, the ninth season aired the 200th episode of this series.
