Episode 11 - Refusing to Budget (06/12/2010)
After taking a job as a hostess at an upscale brunch spot, Audrey runs into an old friend (Stephanie)and is too embarrassed to tell her she has quit her high-profile magazine job. After pretending to still be at the magazine, Stephanie asks to call Audrey at work that week to have her participate in the mentor program she oversees at NYU. Rather than admit she is no longer at her office, Audrey agrees to participate and help mentor a girl interested in journalism. To further avoid suspicion, Audrey agrees to meet the girl in the lobby of her old office building and go straight to lunch with her. However, when Julia her mentee comes to meet her, they quickly run into some of Audrey’s former coworkers and her cover is blown. Meanwhile, Timmy tries to help Russell adjust to life without his trust fund and must learn to take responsibility and actually pay his bills. In an attempt to get Jen to stop cracking her knuckles, Adam asks Jen if anything about him bothers him only to find out that Jen finds him way too talkative.

RULES OF ENGAGEMENT is a comedy about the different phases of male/female relationships, as seen through the eyes of a newly engaged couple, Adam (Oliver Hudson) and Jennifer (Bianca Kajlich), a long-time married pair, Jeff (Patrick Warburton) and Audrey (Megyn Price), and a single guy on the prowl, Russell (David Spade). As they find out, the often confusing stages of a relationship can seem like being on a roller coaster. People can describe the ride to you, but to really know what it's like you have to experience it for yourself.
