Now, as the mystery surrounding Alison's disappearance resurfaces, the girls begin getting messages from "A," saying – and threatening – things only Alison would know. But it couldn't be Alison. Could it? Whoever it is, they seem to know all the girls' secrets, and seem to be watching their every move. The girls are friends again, but will they be there for each other if their dark secrets come to light?

Episode 02 - The Jenna Thing (15/06/2010)
Any attempt for Aria, Spencer, Hanna, and Emily to forge ahead after the discovery of their best friend's body is completely disrupted by the reemergence of Jenna – a girl from their past who may or may not hold the answer to the girls’ most dangerous secret.
Aria is still contending with the mutual attraction to her English teacher, Ezra Fitz, further perpetuated by her mother’s innocent invitation to join them for a movie at Rosewood's silent theater. Caught kissing her sister's charming fiancé, Spencer completely isolates herself from the rest of her harshly judgmental family, including her disapproving mother and stone-cold father. Hanna, meanwhile, has come to an impasse with her religious boyfriend Sean on when to lose their virginity, and Emily's feelings for Maya grow deeper after a playful and flirtatious sleepover.
When the girls are all interrogated by Det. Wilden, who has become increasingly involved with Hanna's reluctant mother, they’re terrified of the secret they've kept for a year being revealed: that a terrible prank they played on Jenna's brother Toby went horribly awry, leaving Jenna blind.

Episode 03 - To Kill a Mocking Girl (22/06/2010)
The girls feel an uneasy obligation set by their parents and the people of Rosewood to erect a memorial for Alison, further beset by the continuous texts and messages they’re all receiving from “A,” whoever he/she may be.
Aria’s reconciliation with her father is halted by the reappearance of Meredith (Amanda Schull), the student he had an affair with, a secret Aria has harbored from her mother for well over a year. Spencer, frustrated and distracted by the increasingly sour relationship with her mother and sister, decides to steal her sister’s old, grade-A paper for school. Jenna’s brother Toby, the intended target of the girls’ prank that left Jenna blind, reappears at Rosewood High after a mysterious, yearlong absence – leaving the girls to wonder whether he had anything to do with Alison’s disappearance, or if he is in fact the omnipresent “A.” Emily and Maya’s burgeoning friendship, as well as Hanna’s pursuit to sleep with her boyfriend Sean, all comes to a head at a big cabin party in the woods, but with mixed results: Emily and Maya steal a kiss in a photo booth, while Hanna, feeling embarrassed and alone after Sean denies her advances in a barn, decides to steal and crash his car.
The girls reconvene in the woods the next day to memorialize Alison in the shed they used to play in, but soon make the shocking discovery of a friendship bracelet Alison was wearing the night she disappeared.

Episode 04 - Can You Hear Me Now? (29/06/2010)
Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer, all make a move to block any messages on their phones from unwanted numbers – but it's not enough to stop "A," who quickly becomes more creative and dangerous.
Hanna gets word that her father is coming to Rosewood, bringing more than she bargained for with a new fiancé, who has a daughter Hanna's age to boot. A date night between Aria and Fitz hits a rough patch when he questions her decision to leave her mother in the dark about her father's affair. The next night they reconcile, but when Aria returns home defiantly to finally spill the beans to her mother, she discovers her Ella sitting at the kitchen table holding a note from "A" revealing Byron's infidelity.
Emily is flustered upon learning that her new lab partner is none other than the mysterious Toby, Jenna's brother – but even more shocked to find the photo of she and Maya kissing from Noel's (Brant Daugherty) cabin party in her lab book – a move no doubt exacted by "A". Spencer is reeling from her stolen essay being submitted to a prestigious history award for students, but with no one to turn to with her family out town. Wren arrives at her home one night, as apologetic as he is drunk. When she takes him back to his motel, he plants a kiss on her that Hanna catches from afar in her car, just before she hears a stunning dedication from "A" on the radio. When the two girls return to Spencer's home, they find a message scrawled in lipstick on her vanity: "It won't be that easy." Whoever this person is, they love a challenge – and they're just getting started.

Episode 05 - Reality Bites Me (06/07/2010)
Still reeling from the haunting message scrawled across Spencer’s vanity, the next morning the girls discover an additional, even spookier message from “A” – this one in the form of a video that was clearly recording them from the vantage of Spencer’s closet. As a penance for crashing Sean’s car, Hanna is forced to take a filing job in his mom’s office; there, she discovers that Jenna has been seeing a psychiatrist in the same building. After finding out that Sean’s been hanging out with another pretty little blonde, Hanna decides to keep close tabs on Sean by joining his abstinence club at school, “Real Love Waits.” There, she finds a surprising ally in the equally reluctant Lucas, a nerd that was a former target of Alison’s taunts.
Spencer gets asked by her father to participate in a doubles tournament at the Hastings’ country club, but what seems like an olive branch turns out to be nothing but a business venture: he wants to hand the win to their opponents, a potential business partner, thus signing the dotted line. After an argument with her father, she finds a fast, unlikely friend in Alex (Diego Boneta), a boy that works at the country club.
Meanwhile, Emily and Toby’s surprising friendship grows even stronger, as both begin to take an interest in each other, and Toby decides to make Emily a mix tape, much to the dismay of a suspicious Jenna. Ezra agrees to let Aria see a reading of his at an “open mic” night, but is surprised to find that his old college friend Hardy (Patrick Adams) is in attendance as well. Hardy is quick to pick up on Aria and Ezra’s scandalous relationship, warning Ezra that it could bring him more harm than good down the line. When Aria leaves her phone at Ezra’s overnight, he intercepts a message from “A” – and, assuming it’s a friend of Aria’s she’s confided in about their affair, quickly puts a stop to their relationship indefinitely.
Aria soon realizes she has more personal matters to deal with: with her parents at each others’ throats over Byron’s infidelity, her younger brother Mike feels more vulnerable than ever as their house quickly becomes a broken home.

Episode 06 - There's No Place Like Homecoming (13/07/2010)
Hanna, Spencer, and Emily arrive at Aria’s to console her with junk food and rag mags – thinking she’s sullen from her father’s affair being revealed to her mother by “A,” when in fact she’s bruised from her tiff with Ezra. The next day, Spencer urges Hanna to try and steal Jenna’s file from the psychiatrist’s office that’s in the same building as where she works, certain that it contains the key to the identity of “A,” or at the very least what the Cavanaughs are hiding.
Hanna makes a false move in nudging Maya to attend Homecoming with Emily (after “A” sent her the photo strip of them kissing) just as Toby surprises Emily with tickets to Homecoming. She’s nervous to accept because of what her friends may think, but can’t deny her burgeoning attraction to him either. Melissa gleefully accepts the chance to chaperone the event, and takes the opportunity to drive a wedge between her sister Spencer and new beau Alex. Aria and Ezra’s efforts to keep things platonic are thrown a curveball when they’re both assigned the same booth to administer. At the dance, the girls convene, convincing Hanna to steal the file once they discover Toby’s tattoo – “9/01, Free at Last,” memorializing the date Alison disappeared.
When Aria volunteers to keep Sean occupied on the dance floor while Hanna slips out to retrieve the file, she sends the newly-crowned Homecoming King mixed signals and makes Ezra jealous. Toby whisks Emily away to the Chem Lab to confide in her privately about his big secret, which the girls have just uncovered in what turns out to be his file that Hanna retrieved from the psychiatrist, not Jenna’s. When Emily becomes more and more unsettled by Toby’s behavior as he tries to explain, she runs away but trips on the train of her dress, hitting the hard floor and falling unconscious.

Episode 07 - The Homecoming Hangover (20/07/2010)
Aria, Hanna and Spencer mistake Emily’s wounds for an attack by Toby, and quickly inform her of his sordid past with stepsister Jenna to keep her from contacting him again. Later, still recovering from her head trauma, Emily awakes to find a surprise visitor: Jenna, who begins to threaten and grill her with questions about her stepbrother’s whereabouts. The girls, sans Emily, head toward the shed to hide Toby’s file that Hanna stole, but in a panic, Aria decides to throw it in the river instead – moments before Emily finally gets through to their cell phones pleading not to destroy it. Oops!
Aria begins to wrestle with the separation of her parents, further mitigated by their refusal to actually speak to each other and instead communicate through their kids. On top of all of this, she receives flowers from a surprise suitor – Sean, who admits to having fun with her at Homecoming once Hanna ditched him. Later, Aria reels from the sudden disappearance of Ezra, who by all counts has skipped town.
Meanwhile, Hanna finds herself increasingly attracted to the geeky, different Lucas – and finally confides in Emily that she knows about her lip-lock with Maya, assuring her that it will stay just between them until she’s ready. Hanna encourages her to not let “A” intimidate them all.
Spencer tries to repair her burgeoning relationship with Alex, who’s now been reduced to kitchen duty at the Hastings’ country club, until she discovers a nasty prank called The Bitch Board that he and some of the other club workers have created that pokes fun at the elitist members (which include Spencer as well as her sister, Melissa.)
A day later, Emily discovers cops in front of the Cavanaugh house, with a shaken Jenna in tears – just as she receives a text from A: “Thanks for getting Toby out of my way.”

Episode 08 - Please, Do Talk About Me When I'm Gone (27/07/2010)
As Aria, Spencer, Emily and Hanna begin to prepare for Alison’s memorial, they must contend with Alison’s older brother Jason arriving in Rosewood a changed man – the formerly gawky and gothic outsider is now as polished as a preppy politician, and he’s got plenty of plans for the memorial of his own.
Jason surprises the girls with news that Jenna has asked to speak at Alison’s memorial, and he’s agreed to let her much to their chagrin. At the memorial, the girls are stunned by the sudden reappearance of Ian, Melissa’s ex, but even more surprised when Jenna takes the stage. As they wait with bated breath and anxiousness as to what she will say, or worse yet, spill - in the end, she offers quite possibly the kindest words for their dearly departed friend. Whether her moving speech was actually sincere, the PLLs can’t be sure, because it could just as easily be another trick up Jenna’s sleeve.
Hanna pushes an uneasy Aria closer to Noel Kahn, and gets her to agree to a double date to a Band of Horses concert. Soon Aria discovers that there’s more to Noel than meets the eye; he’s not just the pretty boy jock she assumed he was, and they in fact share a lot of the same interests.
As the Marin’s financial woes grows deeper, further evidenced by one of Hanna’s credit cards being declined, Hanna steps up and decides to help out in a rather unorthodox and un-Hanna way: she agrees to put up a lot of her old clothes and handbags up for auction online with the help of new ally Lucas.
Meanwhile, Emily and Maya’s relationship blossoms, as well, going so far as to make out at Rosewood’s theater during their very first official date.

Episode 09 - The Perfect Storm (03/08/2010)
A huge storm is on the horizon, as Aria, Spencer, and Hanna study in preparation for the SAT exam the next morning. Emily is nowhere to be found, though. Where’s she at? Well, later Emily arrives home, soaking wet, covered in mud, and crying.
The next morning, Veronica escorts the girls into Rosewood High, leery of why the test is going to be administered as planned with a hurricane brewing outside. There, she has a strange run-in with Spencer’s new beau Alex, and the two share a familiar glance that signals a previous encounter.
Soon, they all run into Detective Wilden bearing shocking news: somebody has trashed Alison’s memorial, and he’s there to investigate. Aria gets a surprise of her own when she spots Ella, there as a volunteer proctor for the exam; a tense moment is shared as both are still resentful from Ella’s sudden move out of the house.
The girls wait in the library before the exam, and Emily gets a text from “A” that sends her on a hunt for the book Great Expectations in the library; there she finds a personal love letter she wrote to Alison the summer she went missing.

Episode 10 - Keep Your Friends Close (10/08/2010)
A new piece of evidence leads the police to officially announce that Toby Cavanaugh is wanted for the murder of Alison DiLaurentis, though Emily, Spencer, Aria and Hanna have their doubts they’ve nabbed the right suspect.
Meanwhile, Spencer tries to mend fences with sister Melissa, just as her ex Ian suspiciously re-enters the picture. Aria begins to have feelings for Noel that complicate her relationship with Ezra even more. Emily’s father comes home early from his tour in Afghanistan, while Hanna’s mother Ashley grows increasingly desperate about their financial situation.
When Hanna is abruptly dumped from the guest list of Mona’s birthday party, the rest of the girls plan to attend to scope out the scene and see if “A” is also in attendance. Later, Hanna sneaks into the party and finally spots the elusive “A” leaving behind a clue. Her discovery yields possibly fatal results, though, because she’s quickly ran over with a car!

Episode 11 - Moments Later (03/01/2011)
Aria, Spencer, and Emily are left unraveled after Hanna is hit by a car, presumably driven by ―A, the night of Mona's glamping party. When Hanna finally comes to at the hospital, she shares with the girls two bombshells she discovered: that Aria is involved with Ezra Fitz, and that Noel Kahn must be ―A. She witnessed Noel run up to Ezra's car while Aria was inside and write "I SEE YOU" on his windshield, much to the girls' surprise.
Meanwhile, an attentive Lucas gives Hanna a sweet kiss as she sleeps, but feels brutally rebuffed when she tells him – in truth, that she seems him much more as a friend. And Aria begins to walk a dangerous tightrope between keeping her relationship with Ezra under wraps and the potential new threat of Noel at bay.
Spencer has her own suspicions, still reeling from the love note -- Alison + Ian -- written on the tree in Wright's Playground, is in for an even bigger shock when she discovers Ian and Melissa have eloped – and now her sister could very well be sleeping with the enemy. And Emily finally comes out to her parents, with expectedly mixed results – a sympathetic father, and a very angry mother.
Back at the hospital, Hanna speaks with Alison in a painkiller-induced hallucination (or is it?) – as our favorite troublemaker, donned in a candy striper outfit, drops subtle hints about her disappearance that fateful night, and the imminent threat of ―A that still looms in Rosewood. The girls begin to theorize with Hanna that they could very well be dealing with two people, just as they discover a note left on Hanna‘s broken leg: "Sorry for losing my temper, my bad.– A"

Episode 12 - Salt Meets Wound (10/01/2011)
The girls wheel their helpless friend Hanna back into her home, where she‘ll be on bed rest for a few more days before returning to school. There, Hanna quickly discovers the wads of cash that Ashley‘s been hiding from her mini-heist, which her mother plays off as a “loan.”
Elsewhere, Emily convinces her parents to have Maya over for dinner, and get to meet the girl who‘s won her heart in the hopes of melting Pam‘s. And Spencer‘s relationship with Alex is going well… until “A” sneakily submits Alex for a tennis summit in Sweden, causing a rift between the two. Meanwhile, back at school, Noel begins to use his knowledge of Ezra‘s clandestine relationship with Aria as a bargaining method for better grades.
Toby is released from jail due to insufficient evidence that he in fact killed Alison, but with one caveat: an ankle monitor, keeping him all too close to stepsister Jenna, who confesses that she turned him into the cops, not the girls.
Mona, feeling guilty for dumping Hanna the night she was hit, decides to throw her a surprise, welcome home party. Unfortunately, Hanna is clueless about the party and it doesn’t turn out well. Not only does Noel show up… but Lucas drinks too much. He’s still upset from Hanna refusing to be more than friends and makes a big scene. By the end of the party, Ashley‘s hidden loot is stolen with a note from “A” left behind. If Hanna wants her momma‘s money back, she‘s gonna have to earn it.
At the end of the episode, Spencer discovers a Hilton Head tag on Ian‘s luggage, clueing her in to the fateful summer before Ali disappeared where she spent time in the same location, at the same time.

Episode 13 - Know Your Frenemies (17/01/2011)
Aria grows increasingly suspicious of Mike‘s burgeoning friendship with Noel, especially when Mike tells Byron and Aria at the dinner table, rather unwittingly, that Noel has been spreading a rumor about Mr. Fitz being with one of his students. Ezra is ready to resign from school to protect his relationship with Aria, but not before “A” swoops in and shockingly saves the day – framing Noel for cheating on exams.
After discovering more evidence that Ian may have in fact been involved with Alison leading up to her disappearance, Spencer walks a fine line at home now that he‘s suddenly married to her sister Melissa, and is also moving in.
Hanna has flashbacks to her heavier days when “A” forces her to eat a half-dozen cupcakes to earn back more of her mom‘s stolen money; she recalls the time Alison gave her advice to purge after meals to drop the pounds. Meanwhile, Toby‘s return to school is met with nasty remarks from students in the hallways. And things get even worse for him later when the town reacts to the accusations against him.
Pam‘s attempts to reconcile with Emily are dashed when her daughter refuses to play “hookey” from school to spend a day with her. Later, When Pam finds drugs in Maya‘s bag, she calls her parents and has Maya sent off to a rehabilitation center, further distancing Emily from herself. Before Maya is sent away, the girls surprise Emily by sneaking her away for one last, romantic night between the two in Spencer‘s room – with lit candles and plenty of privacy.
Later, the girls try and piece together the puzzle that is Ian, and we see a stalker is spying on them from afar. And they discover a shocking video – about the night Alison disappeared.

Episode 14 - Careful What U Wish 4 (24/01/2011)
The girls examine the video “A” left for them that illuminates what looks to be the final moments of Alison’s life by the Kissing Rock the night she disappeared; right after Ian‘s cameo on the video, he surprises them in person as he tries to grab a late night snack from the Hastings kitchen – as it‘s become more clear than ever that danger is always just around the corner in Rosewood.
The girls grow increasingly overwhelmed with the possibility of who (or whom) “A” could be, and whether he/she/they will be making an appearance at the Rosewood High Dance-A-Thon they‘ve all been preparing for. They are even more overwhelmed when they discover Spencer’s laptop is missing.
Hanna, meanwhile, is eager for a job to help support the Marin‘s financial strife. And Aria‘s babysitter Simone makes a surprise return to Rosewood – a blonde, beautiful, and intelligent – she was Aria‘s role model and “big sister” growing up, a now-published author who hits it off immediately with Ezra, which only complicates an already complicated relationship.
Emily enlists the help of new kid Caleb, a good-looking bad boy with a tech cred, to help unlock her phone to get through to Maya at True North, the rehab center where she‘s being housed. Meanwhile, Ian is asked to chaperone the Dance, and the girls are convinced that he has Spencer‘s missing laptop in tow.
At the Dance-A-Thon, Hanna must contend with constant instructions from “A” throughout the dance in an effort to regain some of her mother‘s money. “A” makes her dance with Lucas and then break his heart. Meanwhile, after a terse call with Maya, Emily finds herself drinking at the dance and nearly causes an accusatory scene with Ian.
When the girls return from the dance, they find Spencer‘s computer waiting for her on the counter with a picture and note from “A” – a photo of Alison the night she disappeared, in Spencer‘s backyard.

Episode 15 - If At First You Don't Succeed, Lie, Lie Again (31/01/2011)
The Pretty Little Liars still try and brainstorm what the picture “A” left them means, as Spencer goes to seek out Jason DiLaurentis, who‘s once again hanging around Rosewood. Jason tells Spencer that he‘s received the same photo she has of Alison the night she disappeared, and goes on to tell her that a private investigator has cleared it as a fake.
The Marins get a rude awakening one morning when Ashley‘s work calls to notify her that Mrs. Potter has made an unexpected appointment; however, just before the old woman makes it to the bank, she dies suddenly. Meanwhile, Hanna is blackmailed by “A” to spill Aria and Ezra‘s secret affair to Ella Montgomery in an effort to keep Ashley‘s money stealing a secret. Oblivious to what “A” is holding over Hanna, Aria plants a date night out of town for her and Ezra.
Emily‘s return to form on the swim team causes a bitter rivalry between her and team captain Paige McCullers, an over-competitive athlete. In an unctuous move, Paige gets beaded bracelets for her team – just like the ones Alison gave the girls.
Caleb pulls the kill switch in Ella‘s car to keep Ella from going to the museum gala, where she would have seen Aria and Ezra together – in an effort to also help out a guilt-ridden Hanna. When Byron spots Ella having trouble with her car, he offers to give her a ride, but a re-ignited spark between them keeps both from going to the gala all together.
Later, Spencer reveals to the girls it was HER shadow in the picture with Alison. She had gone after Ali after the two had a fight. Meanwhile, she also finds the same Bead Lady who helped Paige and Alison with their bracelets, only to discover that someone posed as Spencer for the purchase of two separate transactions.

Episode 16 - Je Suis Une Amie (07/02/2011)
Soon after discovering that someone is making it look like she bought the beaded bracelets, Spencer takes a sudden interest in helping tutor Toby, who is still under house arrest. When Spencer shows up to tutor Toby, he cryptically asks her to leave, but not without leaving her with an even more cryptic message written in Braille in the book she lent him.
Meanwhile, Caleb‘s friendship with Hanna continues to grow, and he asks her to help him scout out the fellow rich kids in school to raise the profits of his underground business ventures. Later, Hanna and Aria discover Caleb is sleeping at the school – and Hanna wants to help.
Meanwhile, Ian and Spencer continue to grow suspicious of one another, which is further exacerbated when Spencer decides she wants to quit the field hockey team. And “A” leads Aria to discover that Hanna tried to sell out her relationship with Ezra, leaving the two at an impasse.
Paige tries to apologize to Emily for blowing up at her after Emily is named the new team captain, but then gets in a small bike accident on her way home in the rain, causing her to sit out the next swim meet. At the meet, things get tense between the Hastings sisters when Spencer begins to really grill Melissa about her and Ian‘s uncharacteristically fast-moving relationship; Melissa admits to her sister later that night that she knows about Spencer‘s kiss with Ian, and she‘d like to move on and continue their civility.

Episode 17 - The New Normal (14/02/2011)
Aria, initially hurt by Hanna’s betrayal, learns to forgive her when she realizes they’re both contending with a more evil power in “A,” who’s clearly trying to tear them apart. Meanwhile, After discovering that he’s been staying at Rosewood High, Hanna invites Caleb to secretly crash in her basement, leading to both a burgeoning, unlikely friendship between the two and raised eyebrows from her best friends.
Nick McCullers, Paige’s equally driven father, comes to school angry with the assumption that Emily has been given special treatment on the swim team because she’s gay. When Pam learns of this through Ella, Pam quickly puts Nick in his place, giving the terse relationship she’s had with her daughter some much-needed brevity. And later, Paige apologizes to Emily for her father’s behavior, then surprises her with a brief but passionate kiss!
Ashley receives an unexpected visitor at the bank by way of James Leland, who claims to be Mrs. Potter’s nephew who’s come to look after the funds she‘s left behind. Hanna and Caleb are immediately suspicious of James, and when Caleb does some sleuthing on their behalf, he discovers that Mr. Leland is not who he says he is; James Leland died two years prior, making this guy an impostor with a dark motive.
When Ezra invites Ella to a speaking engagement by one of their shared favorite authors, it causes Byron to grow a bit jealous and gather an unflattering opinion of Mr. Fitz.
The girls spot Jenna trying something on in the lingerie section of a department store, overhearing her say to the clerk that her mysterious suitor “loves lace.” Meanwhile, Spencer informs Toby that she figured out the Braille message he left her “214” – which turns out to be the room number of a motel in the outskirts of Rosewood.

Episode 18 - The Badass Seed (21/02/2011)
As if Aria, Hanna, Spencer, and Emily don‘t have enough drama in their lives, Mr. Fitz decides to put on a school production of the award-winning play The Bad Seed, the story about a girl who wreaks havoc on her small town – eerily echoing our Pretty Little Liars’ own troubles. The girls urge Aria to be Ezra‘s stage manager for the production, which backfires when the two prove to have an uncomfortable, awkward working relationship. Meanwhile, after seeing both his wife and daughter take a liking to Mr. Fitz, Byron asks him out for a drink, where the two begin to form a common bond over literature.
At the Marin household, Ashley grows increasingly suspicious of their lack of food, as Hanna has been secretly housing foster boy Caleb in their basement. Later, Hanna shares a first kiss with her houseguest. And Spencer enlists Caleb to help crack Jenna‘s phone for any secret messages she‘s been sending, but he can‘t hack it.
Finding more and more parallels with the play, the girls flash back to a college party Alison took them to in an effort to spy on Ian; when a tipsy girl takes a nasty tumble down the stairs there, the girls are left to question – was it Ian, or Ali?
And “A” plants a bloody trophy of Ian‘s in the school‘s prop department, which the girls stumble upon and turn into the police.

The girls realize they‘ve been duped when the bloody trophy lands them in hotter water than expected, with an angry police team more hell-bent than ever to find Alison‘s killer, despite these setbacks. Further complicating matters is Garrett Reynolds, a boy the girls all knew growing up in their neighborhood, who‘s a police officer now that‘s just been assigned to the case. Back at the Hastings residence, Ian deftly turns the tables on Spencer by taking the spotlight off himself and placing it on her recent, erratic behavior – which has become a growing concern for her family.
Meanwhile, Paige and Emily grow closer, but their relationship hits a speed bump when Paige realizes she just can‘t be as open about her romantic feelings as Emily. And Spencer and Toby form an unlikely alliance, as the two grow increasingly suspicious of Jenna and her ties to a mysterious room at a local motel. But they soon realize it‘s just another set-up by the nefarious “A”. It may be a set up, but it definitely brings these two closer. They even share a first kiss!
Jenna, meanwhile, has gotten surprisingly close to Mr. Fitz, as she‘s taken an immense interest in the play he‘s directing for school. And she wants to enter some of her writing in a competition. Aria decides she has to tell Ezra the truth about what happened the night Jenna went blind.
Ashley discovers that Hanna‘s been hiding Caleb, and evicts him from her home just as he and Hanna were starting to become romantically involved. That night, they sleep together in the Rosewood camp grounds.
Spencer suddenly finds herself in the center of A’s master plan, as the Rosewood police have made her a “person of interest” in the murder of Alison DiLaurentis.

One year ago, Alison, the Queen Bee of their group, disappeared and the girls swore they'd never tell what really happened that night. They thought their secrets would bond them together, but just the opposite is true. Then again, who's to say what the truth is in Rosewood. It seems everyone in town is lying about something.
Pretty Little Liars is an American mystery teen drama television series created by Marlene King. Based on the popular series of novels written by Sara Shepard, the show premiered on June 8, 2010 on ABC Family.[1] The series follows the lives of Aria Montgomery (Lucy Hale), Spencer Hastings (Troian Bellisario), Hanna Marin (Ashley Benson) and Emily Fields (Shay Mitchell), four girls whose clique falls apart after the disappearance of their queen bee, Alison DiLaurentis (Sasha Pieterse). One year later, they begin receiving messages from a mysterious figure using the name "A" who threatens to expose their secrets — including long-hidden ones they thought only Alison knew.
After an initial order of 10 episodes, on June 28, 2010, ABC Family ordered an additional 12 episodes for season one. These episodes began airing on January 3, 2011. The ratings success of the first 10 episodes prompted the book series to be extended beyond the initial eight novels. On January 10, 2011 ABC Family renewed the series for a second season. The second season will premiere on June 14, 2011.

Episode 01 - Pilot (08/06/2010)
It's been a year since the disappearance of her best friend Alison, and Aria Montgomery has returned from her father's sabbatical in Iceland to a whole new dynamic in Rosewood. Her former friends, Hanna, Spencer, and Emily have all disbanded – and the formerly chubby, gawky Hanna, has become the new Queen Bee. Aria's fling with a cute, young college grad named Ezra goes awry when he shows up at her first day of class as Mr. Fitz, her new English teacher. Hanna shoplifts a pair of expensive sunglasses from the local mall and gets caught – though the man on the case, Detective Wilden, has his sights more set on her newly single mother, Ashley. Meanwhile, Emily is secretly wrestling with her sexuality, sparked by the addition of a spunky new girl on the block nam ed Maya, and all-star student Spencer must deal with her sister's flirtatious new fiancé.
Each girl harbors a secret too personal and scandalous to ever reveal, though a sudden string of ominous messages from "A" threatens to expose them all. Is there friend Alison still alive and watching - or is it someone else completely, toying with our pretty little liars?

Episode 19 - A Person of Interest (28/02/2011)
