Dancing with the Stars S12E07

Episode 07 Week Four Performance - 11/04/2011 The biggest orchestra in Dancing With The Stars history is assembled for Classical Week. This includes a guy Tom Bergeron calls the fastest violinist in the world, David Garrett. Yes, this night has all the makings of an instant classic!

Romeo & Chelsie
The judges thought Romeo took a step backwards last week. Well, he and Chelsie certainly stepped things up this week with their passionate Paso. The flames erupting onstage weren't the only things heating up the dance floor. The judges 7-8-8 scores gave Romeo & Chelsie a total of 23. A fine way to kick off the night!

Kendra & Louis
It was a rocky Viennese Waltz for Kendra and Louis that was set to an Italian opera tune from special guest Katherine Jenkins. Carrie Ann believes Kendra needs a little more confidence to show her true elegance. Len tried to cushion Bruno's harsh words by reminding him she's still just a beginner. Trip 6's from the judges gives Kendra & Louis a total of 18.

Sugar Ray & Anna
Sugar Ray & Anna did a highly entertaining Viennese Waltz. Bruno says Sugar Ray Leonard turned into the Sugarplum Fairy. That may not be the wisest thing to say to a professional boxer. There were a few technical issues, but the pure entertainment of the dance got trip-7's from the judges for a total of 21. That's the highest total to date for this dancing duo!

Petra & Dmitry
Petra & Dmitry perform their Paso to the accompaniment of a rousing group of classical singers. The dance was fast-paced with a ripping good end. By that, we mean Dmitry ripped off the red dress portion of his partner's costume! The judges thought it was powerful and passionate with scores of 8-7-8 for a total of 23.

Ralph & Karina
There was a lot of heartfelt showmanship in Ralph & Karina's Waltz tonight. Len says Ralph's been wandering in the woods for a few weeks. Well, he's back in the ballroom now! The honest emotion of their dance to the "Love Theme from Romeo & Juliet" got them scores of 8-8-9 from the judges for personal high total of 25.

Hines & Kim
Performing to a front row filled with football stars, Hines and Kym scored a total touchdown with their rockin' Paso. The song they danced to is called "Explosive" and that's exactly what their dance was thanks to a commanding performance. 9-8-8 from the judges draws groans from the crowd. They obviously wanted all 9's!

Chelsea & Mark
Bruno thought Chelsea & Mark's Viennese Waltz was technically the best dance of the night. Carrie Ann agreed. We think they both just really liked Mark's swell hat. Len, however, was not impressed with the non-traditional choreography of a 300-year-old dance. That doesn't mean he didn't like it. 9-8-9 from the judges gives this energetic pair a total of 26. That's high for the night!

Chris & Cheryl
Chris & Cheryl powered through their Paso. Len thought Chris started off menacing enough, but the music may have overpowered him in the end. That's not an easy thing to do when you're dealing with a pro wrestler! 8-7-8 scores give this team a total of 23 for the night.

Kirstie & Maks
There was another unexpected setback when Kirstie's shoe came off during her Waltz. Once again, that didn't stop Kirstie & Maks from completing their dance in fine fashion. Kirstie was able to slip back into her shoe before Maks returned to pick her up from the floor. In other words, they didn't miss a beat. 7-7-8 from the judges gave them a total of 22.

The leaders of the night are Chelsea & Mark with 26, while Kendra and Louis are at the bottom of the leaderboard with 18 at the end of this truly classic night of dancing fun.
